The way idiot is thrown around in every day language, he used it perfectly fine. I don't know why you would even attempt to make such a point.

You really think he thinks there's only one interpretation of the bible? His act wasn't simply an 'act' now was it?

it's stand-up comedy.

nevertheless, people use the word idiot, to call someone stupid. also, the thinking behind the act, was that the Ten Commandments were defined aribitrarily, which i find funny. you could come up with such an act for the vast majority of beliefs in the bible, so I'm not sure what you're getting at.
