I don't think so.  The argument of intelligent design will never be disregarded to me.  The many factors that contribute to not only the successful but extremely unique individuals that we come in contact with every day means something to me, however.  And i feel that Athiests are honestly taking the easy way out, not the hard way.  Reaper might make it very easy for them to do so, but I feel that there is much more to our lives as human beings than what meets the "eye" aka the human brain.  "

How do you come up with this idea that there are people who are "unique"?  Are you saying there's nobody out there just like you?  I know I've met people who are just like me personality wise.

Why would it be impossible?  By people, I'm referring to their personality.  If you think about personality, you know a person by their abilities, knowledge, beliefs, goals, and actions that come from that.  What makes you think I can't know what you know?  If you were to actually believe you're unique, you'd have to believe everyone else is an idiot, which is in direct conflict with the "intelligent design" notion.  This is metal's conflict we've just exposed.

Actually, just playing q2 with other people, I find I know a fair amount about the kind of personality they have.  It's not something you really think about it, it's just knowledge automatically known by playing with them.  I think most people I've ever played with, I've met someone that resembles them to some degree.  Some examples: adrenaline reminds me of my brother, xiph0id reminds me of my dad, Emily[PRO] reminds me of my mom, B100D reminds me of a kid I knew in elementary school (who I didn't really like back then), DinSum reminds me of a kid I knew in kindergarten who I'd race against, krez reminds me of some dude from a metal band.  I could go on and on, but I think it speaks volumes about how very un-unique we are.

Hmm you need to get out more?

I can't see how you can compare people you know online to people in 'real life'. Half the kids you listed pretty much play a macho alter ego online because their hidden behind a keyboard and monitor. I bet if you met a lot of those guys in real life they would be nothing like you expected.

Not created by man, merely discovered. . . .  (and a work in progress) 

true.. but but by you saying that they are a work in progress, that leans toward the idea of a creation versus a discovery does it not? i think mathematics is probably the closest to a creation, but discovery does fit this situation better

Since God would presumably be supernatural, I would not insist on using the laws of physics to constrain Him.

On the other hand, it seems almost axiomatic to suppose that anything capable of intelligent design must have some intrinsic complexity.

jagermonsta, I was referring to how they play in the game, not by the things they say.

Maybe what you intended to say lidz, was that I'm different than the majority, and I know that, but don't confuse that with uniqueness.  I thought I'd never meet somebody else who'd remind me of my dad, until I played with xiph0id years back.  Playing with him gave me more incentive to disregard the notion of uniqueness.
