I don't really understand this quote in the movie, but I guess that's expected (propoganda). Those in power can't even get elected without being religious. A secular government is the only way a "free" country can operate anyways. Fanatics tend to want theocracies though I guess.

It's also ironic that Sweden has one of ther highest standards of living in the world and India one of the lowest.
