I dunno why everyone is jumping ahead of themselves on this completely random statement. It's not like we don't know how Trump operates. His purpose in saying anything was to troll both the lefty media and Obama. "He's disclosing classified info." By saying that,.... HE'S the one disclosing it. It's a silly jab at Obama, nothing more. He didn't admit aliens are real. He didn't deny it either... but "refusing to confirm or deny" something isn't some kind of reliable code to prove that something is true.

What SHOULD BE the real takeaway from this, no one is mentioning. The fact that Obama said "There are no underground bunkers at Area 51."

Obama trolled Trump and said something scientists have been saying for decades. Extraterrestrial life likely exists somewhere in the universe far from Earth. That doesn't mean they are here or that there is some super-secret tech project to use alien technology. I am now retired from supporting customers that build advanced technology aircraft and I can say with authority the tech they are presently using is very strange and wonderful but it isn't aliens. It's not aliens and never has been. It's just really smart people doing really smart things. Kelly Johnson and Ben Rich were genius level executives who hired very, very bold and talented people.

Trump took the bait and is now running with it and will probably make an effort to disclose something just to top Obama. Russia, China, North Korea and Iran will be taking notes. Trump is extremely insecure when it comes to comparisons of him with Obama.

They don't want you running around in Area 51 because there are some things that are sight-sensitive, where just seeing a thing will disclose the nature of the technology that they want to maintain as secret. They also don't want people getting into dangerous areas and getting hurt by operations. Security is layered. As for me, I believe in Darwin.
