I hope UNC delivers the spanking ND deserves and is owed to them. They're the only team that can. I think it may happen. Friday night prime time, don't miss it.

No to shit on your dreams and be a negative nancy, but I almost view UNC like the Atlanta Falcons. If they "have" to win, they won't. And furthermore, I view Notre Dame like the evil anti-Falcons. They can suck, and still manage to always win. And like I said when the season started and we knew cross-conference play was virtually eliminated, this does nothing but improve Notre Dame's chances of winning it all this year. But then you've got Alabama still... who no one gives a shit if they win anymore. It's become pretty obvious that Nick Saban must be employing spotters to read and analyze opponent play calls in order to steal them. In this day and age, with all the recruiting rules and shit, it's impossible to consistently stay as dominant as they have without "something" going on to create that advantage. And I think one of these days, he's gonna get outted for what he's doing, and it's gonna disgrace not only HIS legacy, but Bear Bryants as well. Just my opinion.
And if Notre Dame wins it all this year... meh, so what. We all know it's a "participation trophy" this year anyway. Anyone besides Alabama and I'll be fine with it.

Haha you're not. I know how I come off sometimes, I only do that hoping that y'all will give me the benefit of the doubt that im not bat shit crazy for my team
and I appreciate that you guys relatively do just that and let me flap my jaw about my tar heels.
The reason why im doing it a little more than normal this year is really because.... they're just really freaking good. They're not consistent, which relates with your comparison to the Falcons. I just googled the matchup and this was the first break down that came up in Google. It might give a bit of a more unbiased break down than me
https://www.foxnews.com/sports/howell-no-25-tar-heels-offense-a-challenge-for-no-2-irish
During their 2 losses it was painful for me to watch. Defense was super injured and they have no depth so it was bad news for UNC. The FSU loss, even though their defense sucked the offense didn't score in the entire first half.... 2nd half, the defense somehow shuts FSU out. So in a very generalized view, their offense seems to deliver 80% of the time, and their defense maybe 40% of the time. One game, Boston college their offense played like shit but their defense stepped up to limit BC to allow less points and yards than Clemson or ND did. Then, look at those offensive numbers from that article. So there is at least a little science behind my blind optimism for the heels at least. All it takes is for the defense to not show up which is mostly normal, then the offense to to have a less frequent bad day and they're fucked. If there were stats for the team with the highest ceiling and potential, but aren't fully consistent yet, nc would be the leader by a long shot.
They do have ONE thing that is very consistent. And that is that UNC is considered by many to be the best running offense in the nation. This is because they have two running backs in the top 10 in fbs. Both average more than a hundred yards a game. They swap them out systematically and they both stay fresh. They're really cool to watch.
Before I typed that post I saw that ND has several key starters out for the Carolina game
NC is healed up too. I think they can do it.

They'd still beat the Falcons. The fucking BROWNS would beat the Falcons this year. They're fucking TERRIBLE.
But in GOOD NEWS for them, Falcons owner Arthur Blank finally had the good sense to shitcan GM Thomas Dimitrov. The bad news is that HE is still the owner and HE has ALWAYS been a fucking moron, so whoever the new GM is will undoubtedly be a bad choice and a further tragedy in the ongoing epic tale of Atlanta Falcons failure.

Haven't paid attention to any football games this year other than the first or second game the Bulldogs played, I can't really remember. Just haven't been able to get into it. But tomorrow...
Eh, football is sort of a Thanksgiving tradition, for me at least, dunno about the rest of my family. When we've gotten together, even back when my old man and my aunt didn't fuckin' hate each other and we all got together on Thanksgiving, we'd usually by default have the NFL on the TV.
Funny how certain things on TV are just a tradition. Thanksgiving is the fuckin' parade in the morning, right? Then you watch the Lions lose. Then you watch the Cowboys or Green Bay.
Christmas is... well, it USED to be It's a Wonderful Life. Back in the 90's, that was the favorite Christmas movie. My mom collected all the little official It's a Wonderful Life Christmas Collectibles which were sold exclusively by Target, which she stopped using once It's a Wonderful Life wasn't the cool thing anymore ...and now I have them and happily display them. It ain't my favorite movie, but all the little village pieces (Gowers drug store, Bailey Building & Loan, etc) and the train set that goes with it is a great little Christmas decoration set. I love it.
The big favorite Christmas movie now is Christmas Story with Peter Billingsly, which was still a favorite back in the 90's, but now TBS plays it ALL DAY LONG, OVER AND OVER on Christmas day.
I like it, it's a great movie, and despite how dumb it is to watch a movie twice in a row, I kinda like the fact that they play it all day so that if you get together with family in the morning, at lunch or at dinner, its on and you can still watch it together.
My folks like National Lampoons Christmas Vacation the most. I like it. And I have a filthy disgusting sense of humor, so you'd think I'd like it more. But not really. I kinda prefer Christmas Story. I think mostly because it focuses on the kids. That's mainly what Christmas is. I don't really care too much about getting presents anymore, but I remember what it was like to be a kid and how excited I always got about it. I don't have any kids, but I always spend a good bit buying shit for my sisters kids and my old lady's sisters kid. My MC chapter picks a few local families having particularly shitty years and we surprise them showing up on Christmas Eve with assloads of cool toys. Not dumb cheap shit either, the COOL stuff like big TV's, the latest video games and big programmable dancing robots and shit. My sisters kids are spoiled and always get cool shit. Nothing wows them anymore. Meh. But these little dirt poor kids we do our Xmas charity for, they go bananas when they see all the shit we brought them that they never thought in a million years they'd be getting. That look on their face.
That's
what Christmas is all about. Making Christmas magical for kids and making their Christmas miracles come true is what it's all about.
Anyway, enough sentimental bullshit.
Who you got to win tomorrow? 2 games. Noon and dinner time east coast.
1. Houston Texans (3-7) @ Detroit Lions (4-6) - 12:30pm EST - CBS
2. Washington Football Team (Redskins) (3-7) @ Dallas Cowboys (3-7) - 4:30pm EST - Fox
Imma say...
1. Lions lose. I like Detroit, I love Matt Stafford, but... It's the great tradition. CONTINUE THE TRADITION!
2. Cowboys will win.
Also...
Should we do another NCAA football pickem thing again this year for bowl season? I dunno what's going on with bowl season at all, you guys are paying way more attention to things than I am.

Damn. I missed your post else I would've made picks. Although I haven't followed NFL at all basically. Months ago I said that McCaffrey would get injured...and he did.
Haha you called the cowboys to win. That's the only game I watched.
UNC vs notre dame @ 330pm at. Watch out for javonte Williams. Forces more missed tackles than anyone in FBS by a fucking mile. Averages 120 yds per game. He's a future nfl star. Michael carter is UNC's other 100 yard back at 9th in the nation in the rb rankings. Javonte has the athleticism. Carter is basically a Giovanni bernard with excellent vision. If sam Howell has a good passing game the Irish are fucked.
Looks like the committee shares my optimism with UNC. That never happens Haha. UNC's ranking got bumped 6 spots.

Another random stat: UNC's two running backs lead the nation, number 1 and 2, for most rushes 15+yards. Hell of a stat for 2 guys that are on the same team.

UNC let me down, they were the best chance to knock ND out of the playoffs
My only hope now would be Wake at home, but that is a very slim chance.
It's freakin 2020 so ND will probably be the National Champion

It was painful to watch. Dyami brown(top 3 most talented receivers in the country) got injured before halftime.....on a blocking play. When that happened even though it was tied at the half I was like fuck.... it's over. UNC has the best running offense in the nation but they NEED dyami brown to be making big plays when they're facing a good defense. It causes the LB's to drop back and play a safety role, and only charge the line when they're blitzing. 2nd half ND only had to focus on stopping the run and they shut UNC out.
It's a shame that UNC has no depth and an injury matters so much.

Wake has a good offense. Assuming UNC would beat ND, I was counting on them pulling the upset too. Probably won't happen though.

Hot damn. After coming off of a very close loss to now Dame, unc breaks literally I think... 6 or 7 records.
At least I should get a good bowl game to watch. Especially if Clemson beats ND. UNC will be the #1 at large acc team that's non playoff. Meaning, even if they're #12 they'll get to face #5 or #6 in the orange bowl. Probably tx AM.

UNC is a very dangerous team. They made UM look like a high school team.
Then we have this -
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cdKKLhSvOoI
UF had stopped LSU and was going to have a chance to win the game, instead the penalty gave LSU and 1st down and they move on to kick the game winning FG.
