Not many big matchups today. College game day is at Clemson vs wake forest
UNC vs Syracuse @ noon
Duke vs Notre dame @ 2:30
Georgia tech vs Florida state @ 3:30
Clemson vs wake @ 7
Those are the 4 biggest games, simply because they're conference games(and power 5 vs power 5, for that matter which the others are not).

Recap:
Syracuse is an average team, and NC is full of studs, both teams had first game jitters. Unfortunately for syracuse they had two terrible injuries while giving the heels hell in the first half. In the first half Sam Howell threw 2 picks(he threw 6 all year, last year). Plus a roughing the kicker and a fumble against Carolina all in the first half. Somehow the defense held them to 6 points still despite all the opportunities given. UNC really started having a rhythm in offense in the 2nd half, and put 2nd and 3rd string in with 7:40 left in the 4th including at qb. The score didn't change after that, 31-6.
Ga tech vs Florida State has been delayed at 7-0 FSU for awhile now. Duke Notre Dame has been CLOSE the entire game(tune in if you see this in time).
#23 Iowa State got beat by the lafeyette ragin cajuns(31-14!!). Kansas state lost to arkansas state. Two massive upsets that aren't a good look on the big 12

I didn't watch it, but ga tech came back and beat FSU. Idk if that's a good thing or a bad thing for tech fans. I know several tech fans that want their coach gone. FSU is nothing like they were pre 2015, but they're still a solid team with solid recruits, plus a historical good program. With how GA tech has been it's a good win for them.

Didn't watch any of it. Last night I finally figured out how to get my YouTube account to work on the YouTube app on my XboxOne. It's become a pain in the ass to try to watching YouTube videos on my bedroom TV from the Xbox's internet browser. Whatever they've done to the youtube site has bloated the living fuck out of and it makes videos take 12 forevers to load, and my browser tab crashes ALL THE FUCKING TIME (might have a virus on my Xbox, I dunno). But with the YouTube app on there, it works as you'd expect it to. So I spent most of last night and today and tonight again watching the crap out of Ola Englund's channel. He's a swedish guitar player from several bands, has his own guitar brand, does videos about pedals and amps and shit like that. Pretty funny guy, really really decent guitar player.
I looked up Georgia's schedule last night. I guess they don't play until the last week of September and it's gonna be a 10 game schedule instead of 12. Perhaps the entire SEC is doing the same. Not really feeling it though. Georgia could lose every game this year, and it wouldn't even upset me at all. Dunno that I'll even bother watching any.
edit: Asterisk at the end of the thread title. I c what u did there.

Hah, NC is ranked 12th in AP and 11th in coaches poll(with the teams not playing included and assuming they'd win in week 1, they'd be 18th and 17th respectively).
It's actually cool to not see the rankings littered with big 10 teams. They always overrate half of them anyway.

The spread for pitt beating syracuse is only 7 points next weekend. Easy money. Pitts already had their warmup game and will probably beat them worse than NC did

In all seriousness, there were plenty of pros in addition to the cons of their win over Louisville.
-Louisvilles OL is small and not good
-Miami's offense needs some work
-Miamis D allowed a crap ton of yards
+Louisville has a squirrely back that is lamar Jackson-esque. He's really good, #10.
+Miami's D is huge and athletic, even more so than normal
+ Miami's D forced 3 turnovers
+ Miamis offense has improved. They're not great, but they improved. QB is overrated.
+Does Miami have the best kicker in the nation? Maybe. He's 100% so far this season going 4/4 on Saturday including a 57 yarder.
Miami looked like the 4th best team in the ACC, although I think Virginia tech will have something to say about that. I think they could go 9-3, realistically 8-4. Are they "back" like many are saying? Depends on your definition
Personally I've been saying that I didn't understand the massive hype over Louisville. My preseason top 5 ACC was:
1. Clemson
2/3. NC/ND
4. Virginia tech
5. Pittsburgh
(With Miami and Louisville after I noted, but didn't order them)
This is how most analysts had it:
1. Clemson
2. ND
3. NC
4. Louisville
5. Miami/VT
Now, I think Miami will beat Pitt. We'll see though. It was easy for me to take vt and pitt over Miami and lville initially. Two teams that meet or exceed expectations vs 2 teams that do not. But, the U has improved.

The SEC has always been the best conference. 2014/15 the ACC had an argument(11-1 UNC, fsu good, lamar Jackson, clemson, etc.). But the ACC was usually #2, interchangeable with the big 10. The big 12 and pac have always been 3 and 4. The ACC had a slump with UNC, ga tech, fsu, nc state, miami all being bad. But this year is somewhat of a turn around. The addition of ND with UNC improved is 3 good teams. Hell, they even put Miami at 12th right after NC this week, but Miami I'd put in the group after with VT. Then, two top 25 teams in louisville and pitt. That's 7 teams, compared to a couple years ago when it was #1 Clemson and #23 Syracuse (who proceeded to lose by 40 to Maryland). For a brief period the ACC wasn't even #3, and everyone loved to talk shit like the AAC was better
We'll see, but the ACC might be #2 again.

I can't believe someone from espn took the time to write that, but yes the kid is special.
Oops. Nevermind, there's articles underneath it. I actually gave up reading near the end because I was like fuck I haven't even put a dent in it!
