Unfortunately, any new coach in the SEC is getting tossed in a pit with wolves with only a plastic butter knife to defend himself with. Vanderbilt is no easy win this year. Tennessee is no push over anymore. Missouri... is hard to judge, you never know with them. Kentucky is no free win anymore either. Muschamp is possibly on his last chance to head coach at South Carolina, and they probably only took him because they're desperate for anyone with experience with is also KNOWN to people (seems they care about that status over the prospect of giving an assistant a chance to prove himself, not a wise way to approach it in my opinion).

Georgia isn't dumb though. I thought they were for a while when they started threatening to sack Richt as head coach. But they merely "threatened" at an appropriate time. It did manage to convince him to pressure his players to play better, and they did. But I think they had Kirby Smart in their crosshairs for a couple of years before it actually happened.

Shit hasn't worked out that well for South Carolina or Florida either one. Honestly, South Carolina was unwise to fire Steve Spurrier when they did. They did it without a plan seemingly. Florida's had plans, they just haven't brought success.

Another bet got my attention today. Pittsburgh is only favored to beat UNC by 3.5 on the spread. This seems ridiculous, but maybe because it's three first conference game fedora is going to actually start their good quarterback Chaz surrat. He's already benched him 2 games, so he only has to sit 2 more and UNC gets to choose which ones. I hope he does play. This 5 interceptions a game crap gets pretty boring. Plus Florence canceled last weekend's game against ucf.

Checked the Georgia Tech score this weekend. Apparently they beat Louisville 66 to 31. How!?! How are these people letting Georgia Tech score 60 points a game?

God dammit, Florida. You fuckers just couldn't lose to LSU like you were supposed to. Hell no. The week before Georgia gets them, you shit on their undefeated record and #5 ranking to where they'll be a less impressive win for Georgia. Thanks.

Same goes for Texas A&M beating Kentucky. I was hoping at least ONE of those two (or BOTH at best) would remain undefeated by the time Georgia got at them.

Whatever though. As long as Alabama keeps winning, they can't bypass the conference championship game again and still make it to the playoffs.

I'm sure y'all saw the highlights of the UGA @ LSU game today.

I dunno what the fuck the problem was today. Part of it was the officials not calling anything. Both sides were getting away with holding and pass interference fucking WAY too much. I saw BOTH teams doing it, LSU only slightly moreso, but the refs were completely blind to any of it. And the shit with the interception where the refs all waited about 2 minutes to confer with each other before giving an on-field call: FUCK YOU, MAN. Either the fuckers are WATCHING RIGHT NOW and gonna call what they saw, or they weren't watching and shouldn't call anything at all. Some piss poor lazy officiating today.

And I'm not blaming the officials for ANY part of the loss today. Hell no. Just saying that they ADDED to my frustration watching this trainwreck. The Dawgs losing is all on Jake Fromm, or at least 50 to 75% of it. Dunno what the fuck his problem was today, but he played like a fucking amateur. They had opportunities to score, receivers wide open, but it's like he decided before every play "Okay, I'm gonna throw to just X person and if he don't get open, tough shit for everyone else." Dunno if he was hungover or what, but very uncharacteristically shitty with his judgement. The rest of it, I blame the coaching. That fucking retarded fake field goal that turned to shit in the first half is the most obvious example, but there were plenty of other things the coaches did to contribute to this loss. Mostly, keeping Fromm in there and letting him pass when CLEARLY the run game was the way forward. But again, the incompletions were on HIM. If they call pass, he should be able to find SOMEWHERE to go with it... at least moreso than he fucking DID. (dunno what his completion % was but it had to be fucking abysmal) They should've benched him and put Fields in there. That's one lesson from Nick Saban that apparently Kirby Smart has forgotten. Saban is not afraid to sideline his #1 QB if shit isn't going the way it should. And with Fields being a better scrambler and the run game being the only way they were getting traction, THAT should've been the pivot strategy.

Ya know, even when they lose, I don't stop watching. But halfway into the 3rd, I got fed up with their inexcusable bullshit and started flipping through my Dish On-Demand shit looking for a movie to watch instead. If they get their asses kicked by a better team, that's one thing. But when they play under their abilities like lazy fucking cunts and LET the other team win, there's no reason to watch that kinda shit.

They get two weeks to prepare for Florida. Smart better kick their fucking asses until their noses bleed and get their shit back together. That shit today was bullshit.

I predict a Adren post in the near future.

I also predict UGA will have their best game of the season in 2 weeks. Two weeks of hard coaching and stewing over the LSU loss will not be good for UF. If UGA can win out, they will still make the playoffs. UGA has not room for errors anymore, another loss and they are done.

UF played terrible in the 1st half against Vandy, but somehow overcame it and won. If it were against a better team, UF definitely would have lost.

I think I mentioned it already this season, but don't discount Vanderbilts ability to play SEC level football. They are much improved (as you saw), and will continue to do so. Their runningbacks are good enough that I wouldn't mind them transferring to Georgia at any point.

Georgia MIGHT could lose 1 more this season as long as it's to either UMass or Georgia Tech... or possibly even the Auburn game, it just depends on what record vs SEC East teams Florida and Kentucky both end up with. But a loss to either Florida or Kentucky means they likely won't win the Eastern division. If they go 10 and 2 (or maybe even 9 and 3 if weird shit makes it work out that way), as long as they get to the SEC Championship and WIN THAT, they've gotta be in the playoffs. I don't see those poll voters NOT giving an SEC Championship winner a ticket to a playoff bowl even if their rank is #7 or lower. There's 5 big conferences that produce a conference champion, and I don't anticipate they'll exclude the SEC winner.

Then again, I have doubts that if the SEC Championship comes down to Georgia and Alabama that Georgia will come out the winner in that one. Unless Georgia SERIOUSLY gets their shit together, Alabama is gonna beat every single SEC opponent they face this year. If I had to call it right now, I'd say Georgia WILL NOT be in the playoffs and Alabama will. However, I dunno if Alabama is gonna be able to win it all this year again. I'd bet on Oklahoma making the playoffs, and they're playing well this year. I think they just lost to Texas this week, but Texas is another much improved team that has potential. Ohio State? I dunno. If they make it to playoffs, it could be a mistake. The only decent opponent they've had so far was Penn State, and they won by 1 point.

I know things can change and hell can freeze over, but I was just looking at the remaining schedules of some of the top teams.

Notre Dame is #3 and has a good shot of going undefeated. Clemson is #2 and in the same scenario.... The committee won't leave an undefeated Clemson or Notre Dame out of the playoffs.

If Ohio State, Wisconsin, Iowa, or Michigan can win the big 10 championship with 1 loss they're in. Whoever wins the sec championship is in. I just hope that Alabama doesn't win out than lose the conference championship. Because in the scenario above the big 12, pac, and a possible 2 year undefeated ucf team are all getting left out. Who gets left out next after that?

I know that's a nightmare scenario but it's fairly possible. 8 team playoff?

Hey if Georgia wins the conference champ they're in. It would be nice if they beat a 1 loss team is all I meant, to minimize the chaos haha. I'm not one of those people pushing for ucf to be in there, but in an 8 team playoff it would at least be interesting to give them one of the 2 lowest seeds. I wanna watch teams play that never play each other sometimes.

Doesn't really matter to me who gets in this year. It would be nice if Georgia made it again, but after seeing what Alabama has done to all their opponents and then seen what Georgia is capable of... I'm pretty sure another Georgia vs Alabama game wouldn't be as closely contested this season. Alabama would torch them passing and Georgia wouldn't be able to match the output.

And I don't see anyone else in any other conference giving them a real fight either.

Gonna go ahead and call it. Alabama wins it all again this year.

Yup, and I agree. Alabama has more than a 50% chance to become national champions...........again.....

I just hope that the team(s) that do face them are the ones most likely to take them down. Basically the team who has a huge all senior defensive line and an explosive offense. Clemson kinda provided the template for it a couple of years ago... I haven't watched them at all this season though.
