this is not annoying, because i could have applied two possible meanings to the word trend. you could not have applied two possible meanings to the word gay (happy would not have made sense). 

actually I could have, and I did.

The reason I used the word gay to describe both people who have homosexual tendencies and those who act on them as well, is because I didn't feel it neccesary to constantly repeat myself by typing the same multi-word terms over and over in a casual conversation. They are not synonymous descriptions of people, and that was blatantly obvious to anyone who looked past the three letter word used to describe them to the context in which the word itself was written.

I figured you were smart enough to figure out which one I meant by using the context in which the words were used, and possibly reading/understanding the sentence prior to their use for clues. I was wrong.

The word "gay" can have many meanings and can be used as a shortened version of many concepts/terms, just as the word "trend" has many meanings and can be used in the place of many other words and phrases to convey a reasonably similar point. Just like the words "Jackass" and "Whore".

The english language has only accepted the term gay in this context for a relatively short period of time and that is exactly why there are not 2 seperate words for these 2 seperate, but related, descriptions of people.
The language is not specific enough, and instead of using very longwinded terms over and over I chose to abridge them so everyone reading the post wouldn't have to suffer thru page-long sentences with 1500 commas apiece.

I see that I underestimated your reading comprehension abilities and I apologize for doing so.
In the future, you get to sit thru the 1500 commas and read the same terms used over and over in full form, without abbreviation.
