Before I think about signing up I need to know what map it's on, if there's going to be a server running it perpetually before the end of sign-ups to the day of the tournament and how long it is. I'm still looking for a job (not very actively, though) so if I get lucky I'll need a date, too.

I think it's a bit of a catch-22. As far as the server, sure. Actually I left up the ts500 server all this time (port 27999, password still 'viagra'), perpetually running q2dm8.

I think the catch is, the map might depend on how many players signed up. If we get just 12 or 13 players again, smaller maps would suffice. If we get 30 people...? Probably it'll be a larger map, like the ones on pygmy. People have suggested city64, predm1, . . . and there's also q2dm18.

As soon as we know the map I'll surely make the ts500 server run it.
