I didn't highlight the "false religion" part, because that's merely a matter of opinion. But "Islam was started by the Catholic church"? What the hell? I've heard plenty of arguments against the Catholic church before, and I've USED many of them myself... like how Catholic-Christianity under the Roman Emperor Constantine converted old Roman pagan holidays into Christian holidays around 336 CE. For example, Christmas was originally the Winter Solstice, a holiday in which pagan peoples would have a feast celebrating any number of things including the previous years harvest, the rebirth of the earth or the sun god due to reversal of the suns ever-moving positioning in the sky and the length of daylight growing longer as it leads to the next growing season. In reality, Jesus Christ was actually born in the springtime, most likely at some point around the time that Easter is commonly observed today, and that is more likely the time of year which Christmas should be observed if one wanted to get really technical about it. There is no specific record telling anyone that Jesus Christ was born on December 25th, nor is there any part of the Bible telling anyone that they should observe his birthday as a holiday at all.

But this is definitely the first time I've ever heard someone claim that Catholicism invented Islam.

Furthermore, I'd like to know where the Muslim memo came from telling all these folks that they should from henceforth give the excuse that "Death to USA" does not mean "Death to non-believers". It's whitewashing and good-guy badge polishing. They'll say, "Nah, I don't think Muslims should murder those who don't adhere to Islam. That's not good." But they also don't protest one single bit if SOMEONE ELSE goes ahead and does it in the name of Islam. You'd think if they were truly opposed to such a thing, they'd have a moral obligation to oppose those who supposedly pervert the teachings of Mohammed and use their same Islamic faith as a thin excuse to commit mass murder.

If one particular Christian Charismatic church publicly advocated, funded, and personally arranged abortion clinic bombings, I couldn't see every other Christian Charismatic church in the same region merely shrugging their shoulders at it and saying, "Well, what can you do? Everything else they believe is the same as what I believe. So... oh well." They'd speak out as explicitly and fundamentally opposed to such practices saying that they are disgusted that someone could use their faith in Jesus Christ as an excuse to commit the vile act of murder.

And this is why I have NO PROBLEM AT ALL with how the US Government invades these sovereign arab regions as a police presence. If they lived on a completely different planet doing that shit, I wouldn't care at all. But we all live in the same space, and SOMEONE has to have the balls and grit to push back against retarded shit like this. And thanks to the fact that their religion has allowed them to stay stagnant in the socioeconomic and technological races, we've got the bigger guns and better armor. So deal with it. To quote the little cartoon that's posted on the cork board in the break room... The beatings will continue until morale improves.

This was the foreign policy of the US and the European powers post-WWII, it didn't matter who was in charge as long as they were pro-west and anti-communist. This is why Iran, Iraq, Saudia Arabia, Kuwait, Libya all exist. Israel was also carved out as the Jewish homeland by Britain and the United States. The Shah of Iran was set up, all of west Africa was set up under the "protection" of the French and other European powers post-war... all to make sure communism didn't take root in those "areas of interest". Now we are dealing with chickens that have come home to roost.

Gaddafi shut his pie hole when Reagan slapped him down by bombing his house, he never postured as a strong man in international affairs again. But Libyans can hate the western powers for not taking him out and saving them decades of suffering and we shouldn't blame them in the least, the US foreign policy toward their country and their leader was idiotic.
