Not so much anymore. I don't keep up with politics in Ukraine regularly, so I didn't even know she existed until a couple weeks ago. But from all the pics on google, it looked like she "used" to look a lot like her daughter does now, but then at some point for some reason she got the BRILLIANT idea to have some plastic surgery on her face... because that shit NEVER looks worse than when they started, right? Anyway, it looks like she's got some kinda weird curled upper lip thing going on now, and also looks like her cheeks have been pulled up tight to the corners of her nostrils, maybe some work done on the bridge of her nose too, I dunno. With a different education and upbringing, the individual members of that mob obviously wouldn't give a care about someone who allegedly burned whatever book.

Instead, their credulity and conviction were seemingly employed as a tool by the factory owner to carry out a personal vendetta.

I still say it would be much more efficient to just drop bombs. Reconditioning and education is a lengthy and costly effort with uncertain results in the long term. Death is much more immediate and long lasting with absolutely certain results. And coincidentally, it's the entire reason why these people use violence and the threat of death themselves in their own endeavors. It works.

I'm as sorry as I can be that some people got their brains blowed out, but it kinda sounds to me like the media wants to incorrectly paint this guy as some atheist hate monger. From the quotes they're giving in this story, he doesn't sound like a person bent on killing or punishing people for having any faith, he just sounds like a guy who's sick and fucking tired of people pushing their faith on him.

Still... that's neither here nor there in my opinion. He fucking murdered people, he got caught, he should get what's coming to him. And I think I have a much more reasonable explanation for his actions based on one piece of "smoking gun" evidence this story presents, and it has nothing to do with hate crimes or such stupid shit.
