NFL considering a rule that would penalize running backs for lowering their head and delivering a blow to the defender.
Just how pussified can they make this game. They should go ahead and put flags on the players and start a flag league

I think I was reading some story online recently about that where Hershel Walker was in so many words calling the NFL retarded for even considering such a stupid thing. I could see the point in penalizing defenders for blasting the shit out of defenseless receivers, because it was starting to get pretty damned dangerous. Pretty sure that's part of why Atlanta didn't elect to keep Dunta Robinson for next year at cornerback, because he had a bad habit of just completely demolishing guys with blows to the head and sprinting t-bone car crashes of blindside hits on jumping midair wide receivers, and got fined AT LEAST twice for it. It was fucking nuts sometimes. Dude seemed to almost be more focused on just physically punishing the living FUCK out of people than actually making the tackle and ending the play. They've already virtually castrated the game twice now. Once by penalizing, fining, and suspending players for "blows to the head" or whatever the fuck they wanna call it... And again by bumping up the kickoff spot an extra 5 yards to try to prevent more kickoff run-backs... which is stupid, because it was such an important play that determined starting field position at the beginning of each half and after each scoring possession.

Anyway.... fuck those guys.

Who is a better QB Joe Flacco or Matt Ryan

The reason I posted this is because I was watching ESPN the other day and they were talking about elite NFL QB's and these are the guys they listed.
Aaron Rogers
Tom Brady
Peyton Manning
Drew Brees
Joe Flacco

IMO Joe Flacco is not an elite QB, he is a game manager, not a guy you can rely on to go win the game for you.
Winning a SB don't make you an elite QB, if so everyone would say Trent Dilfer was an elite QB

IMO a top QB needs to throw for over 4,000 yards and complete over 60 percent of his passes.
If you barely throw the ball but complete 70 percent, that don't count.

Flacco threw for 3,817 and completed 59.7 percent.
Ryan threw for 4,719 and completed 68.6 percent.

I dunno. People throw the word "elite" around a little too much when talking about NFL quarterbacks in my opinion. I think Ryan's probably a smarter and more accurate QB than Flacco, but I wouldn't really call either one of them "elite" at this point in their careers. Rodgers is pretty fucking good, and I'd be tempted to call him one of the elite, but not quite yet. Reason being... there's been too many TRULY elite QB's in the NFL that I don't think just anyone deserves to be ranked among them. As much I think Tom Brady is an obnoxious fucking asshole, his record speaks for itself. Nobody gets that many Superbowl rings without doing something special. Drew Brees breaking Johnny Unitas consecutive games with TD passes record? Fucking shit, that's all you need to know right there. Peyton Manning? Dunno that I'd rank him among the all-time elite.

However, if we're talking about CURRENT quarterbacks, yeah, Peyton Manning is definitely one the currently playing elites. In that case, I'd put both Flacco and Ryan among those too. Certainly Rodgers. In my opinion, Rodgers is better than Favre ever was. Both are gunslinger style QB's, both will take suicidal chances throwing in double coverage, but Rodgers seems to have a little better pinpoint accuracy coupled with this slick as whale shit pocket elusiveness.

They should just say, these are the top QB's in the league at this point. Worry about someone being "Elite" once their career is over and their whole body of work can be evaluated.
