One thing I find particularly odd, especially down here in the South, is how a lot of these church-going republican hunters rights supporters can say one breath one or more of the following:
"We have to practice good wildlife management!" 
"If we outlawed hunting, it would be detrimental to the health of the deer population!"
"If we banned hunting, the deer population would explode and we'd be overrun with deer!"

And in the next breath, these same people can read the Holy Bible and tell me that a verse saying "Be fruitful and multiply" is a God-granted license for everyone on planet earth to have 12 or 20 kids like fucking Mormons do. Let's be reasonable here. We humans do INFINITE more damage to the ecosystem of this planet even when we aren't overpopulating this tiny little planet.

We can joke about how fucking retarded it is that China (or whichever country it is, I forget) limits the number of female children a couple can give birth to, but honestly, I don't really think their government IS being invasive and overbearing by having such a regulation. To me, it says that they are responsible and that they aren't stupid and short-sighted like the rest of the world seems to be. In America we can say, "People are allowed to hunt game.", and it's a good thing, because it's our responsibility to not let the countryside get overwhelmed with a million and one whitetail deer eating everything in sight. We can say, "People are allowed to hunt game, but you must buy a license, you must only hunt during the proper hunting season, and you can only harvest two bucks and one doe per season.", and it's a good thing, because it's our responsibility to not OVER-HARVEST them and decimate the population like we did to the buffalo back in the 1800's. But no one's about to step up and say, "Hey! People! STOP FUCKING! THERE'S TOO MANY PEOPLE! THERE'S ONLY SO MANY RESOURCES ON THIS TINY PLANET!"
