Hi QuakeDuke! It seems .zip works!

Here is a huge DM map for anyone to enjoy for DukeNukem3d. My old room mate made it over a few months,and we spent many a happy hour doing the phoneline deathmatch thing on it.

Thanks TMF! Great DM map. You guys mustat spent some time working it out. Did you lay it out on paper then build it?
Since there's no school here today (was just 'cause it's president's day but we gotta a lot of ice and snow too - irks the kids ya know) we'll prolly fire it up a little later.

No,that map was all my room mates.He'd spend his night off putting bits in and designing new bolt holes and hiding places where I could never find him and I would die repeatedly trying to find them all.But once I did,well,you see all those trip mines lying around

I have no maps of my making anymore,or they might be on a hard drive of my old 333 mhz buried in my closet. I was more into building strange architecture than creating a fun fragging enviorment.The map I did the most work on I called the Temple of the Octa-God:a huge tower with a hollow inside of 3 levels and a tunnel that led from the basement to a hole in the sky.Cool scenery,but dull gameplay.I even tried to build stuff with the Build engine to be part of other artwork,but I could have faked something in Photoshop in a tenth of the time it took to create with Build.Here is the one experiment I did,and a later version with a lot more effects added.You live,you learn.I may do something with the Elder Scrolls:Oblivion toolset eventually,creating permanent props of buildings I can take endless screenshots of,but I'll pay some clever kid to do it.

...and you didn't make a single comment about the issue I mentioned before this. I was under the impression the admin programs kept those bugs in check without resorting to actual source alterations which caused the problems seen. Also, I'm not aware of any 'mod' when playing basic FFA, which is what I thought Mutant and DM were listed under (i.e. no game variable set). Anyway, are the alterations shadowed in another part of the forum? I'm interested in seeing what changes were made and maybe I'll spot something. Can't say I'll find the problem, but the more eyes the better.

Meh... I have no idea why jumpmod would be changing your download settings. I don't have the source code to the mod, so . . . . It's a mystery to me.

No, in fact the admin programs, like q2admin, had their own host of unfortunate exploit bugs, too. We're running a version of q2admin patched by r1ch to fix several nasty exploits in q2admin, in addition to the r1q2 server we run wherein r1ch fixed a bunch of bugs in quake2 itself.

Vanilla, mutant, sheridan, dm, pygmy, goatass, and xquake all run my SSP mod. Railz ran it too, until recently.

The source code for the mod is certainly available to anyone who wants it. It's always been available via anonymous CVS at ":pserver:anonymous@tastyspleen.net:/var/cvs/r1q2-ssp". I could put up a tarball too, i guess, but I'd prefer developers access the code with CVS.

I've grepped through the source for my modifications... you can get an overview of everything that's been changed here: http://tastyspleen.net/~quake2/ssp_mods_context_grep.txt (Look for anything beginning with SSP_...)

Being good has nothing to do with using a wallhack, and I will bet that he does.

He's also never come up with a plausible excuse as to why he can't use anticheat that doesn't involve some baloney personal drama that he concocted with r1ch. His play appears to be suspect, and I've had him forced on my servers for quite some time because of it.

I saw some demos that were sent to me recently where his play looked suspect.
I took a couple recently that did as well.

When I have more demos that are blatant enough that he can't weasel his way out of them with a bunch of whiney bullshit and magical excuses, they will be posted as you could easily assume if you'd actually read the post above.

actually i do have this short demo i took myself, i am also convinced he walls. when he is on frag 24 he waits on top of the fragpipe, looking into the little hallway. he knew someone was comming no sound ques. you can see for yourself. but in all seriousness i asked him the other day why he does not use anticheat and he replied "because r1ch is a liar". i mean what kind of bullshit excuse to use is that. You would think someone would want to clear their name after being accused by using anticheat. but meh, i am convinced he does wall.
