Well I watched a little bit of the news the other day, that was pretty scary. Although that doesn't involve leaving the house, and this is the "outdoor activities" section.

I went to the Masquerade in Atlanta the other night, that was pretty scary. Not really the part of town it's in, the parking lot for the place next door is actually right across the street from the East Atlanta Police Dept. Sometimes you get assholes doing shit around there, but it isn't as bad as in other parts of Atlanta I guess. The scary part is the building itself. It's an old mill building from around the turn of the century (the LAST one). Here's some pics of the outside of the shithole.

You can see behind the old rusted shitty machine sitting there is where the little ticket booth is.

They either tear off your ticket or you pay for one there. Usually back behind the booth before you go into the door, they'll have one or two guys checking ID's and giving out colored bracelets if you're over 21 and plan on buying drinks. They don't check IDs at the bar, and usually they aren't really strict about policing the place looking for people without bracelets drinking. When I was in college, my now roommate was a little younger than me so I used to buy all the drinks at the bar for him or I'd get good and hammered slamming drinks back fast and then just gingerly pull the bracelet apart and re-stick it back together on his wrist so he could go load up. After he turned 21, he started dating one of the hot bartender chicks there and she used to get us drinks for free! That was VERY nice and big reason why we used to hang out there almost every weekend even when we had no clue who the bands were or if they sucked.

When you first walk in the door, theres a door on the left that goes into a smaller room. They call that Purgatory. They have a bar in there and a small little stage area for when sometimes they have 3 stages going at once. They don't usually do that though. Most of the time, they only have one stage open for music and keep Purgatory open so that a few people can go down there to get away from the noise in the main room or get drinks if the bar upstairs is really backed up when it's crowded.

Then on the right side, theres a door that leads to a place downstairs called Hell. It's about 3 or 4 times larger than Purgatory with an even bigger bar. Usually Hell is closed off.

Then you can see the shitty old wooden stairs that lead up to the main room, Heaven. Those stairs are part of why I say this place is scary. When it's a larger show like Down (the band I went to see Friday night), those stairs kinda sway a little when they get loaded down with lots of people going up and down them.

This is the main room viewed from the stage.

As you can see, the place is pretty much a fucking dump. The floors are wood and when it gets REALLY crowded for a bigger show, you can feel it bouncing up and down. I was hanging out there one Saturday night back in probably 2002 when Andrew WK happened to playing there. At one point during the show, all the stupid kids in the place were jumping up and down in place at the same time like faggots (bundles of sticks) and you could feel the floor moving up and down like a god damn trampoline. I was thinking to myself, "Jesus fuckin Christ, THIS is how I'm gonna die. This place is gonna fall in and we're all gonna be crushed to death. They'll talk about the fire at the Great White show that killed everyone, and then they'll talk about the building collapse at the Andrew WK show in Atlanta where everyone died. Weeeeeee!" But luckily, it didn't fall in and we all made it home alive that night.

Some people say the place is haunted by young girls who were killed in accidents at the mill back in the 20's. Yeah, whatever.

Why do I feel like you just trumped my experience.
You never really left the ground and I`m pretty sure you never made it to 80 mph.
I went on all the rides at Thorpe park but never felt like anything was about to collapse.
There was a rusty looking ride called saw http://www.thorpepark.com/rides/saw-the-ride.aspx
That ride made my brain hurt, like a brain freeze.

Nah, rollercoasters are still more exciting. I like rollercoasters, but I haven't been to Six Flags of Georgia in probably 10 years. It's such a pain in the ass. If you get there right when the gates open, it isn't so bad. You can usually run and get on whatever rides you want pretty quick because the lines aren't so long. But after about an hour or two, the lines get brutally long and you can sometimes waste as much as 2 hours waiting to get on one, meanwhile you're getting 2nd and 3rd degree sunburns waiting there in full view of the sun. Not really my idea of a good time.

Get STD/I bloodwork done after my ex-wife emailed me and said she had the herpes and thinks the guy she fucked "accidentaly" may have given it to her.

I'm all clear though, thankfully. Got the email notarized. It will come in handy when the divorce proceedings happen and I go after her for spousal support, the car, tuition and half of the time share value as we discussed in another email I had notarized.

I'm not sure notarizing a copy of an email improves its evidentiary value. The notary can't attest to the authenticity of the email, he/she can only authenticate that you delivered a document that you stated came from your ex. It doesn't prove she sent it. I'd start talking to a lawyer soon and getting the server records preserved.

Sweet coaster, I like riding Shiekra at Busch Gardens in Tampa.  I has a 200 ft, 90 degree drop and the front row hangs over the edge for a couple seconds before it drops you.  :righteous:

That's just what I did. I had my guy get the hosting service for her company's email to verify it's authenticity. The cost wasa stupid but you have to spend money to secure yourself in these situation.

I rode this coaster when I was in Los Vegas - Stratosphere Hotel coaster.

Not much of a coaster but it is about 900 feet up.

Somewhere I have a old VHS tape of me bungie jumping from 150 ft over a pond.  That was probably the scariest thing I have done, the ground effect was awesome.  :bananaw00t:

I've ridden the Ninja at Six Flags of Georgia several times. They need to call it the "Call a Chiropractor" because you might need one afterwards. If you're normally scared shitless of rollercoaster, yeah, it'll scare your dick off. But it really isn't all that enjoyable to ride. It moves pretty fast, but not SUPER fast like some others. I think it was built in the early 90s before they started building the 80+mph ones. But it goes through so many loops and twists and turns that it's a little hard to "experience" the ride because of all the G's working your body over. It goes through so many tight twists and turns that it sucks your chin down into your chest and you can barely see whats going on around you. It slings you left and right so hard it will damn near bruise the sides of your ass and your collar bones as you slam around against the seat and harness. It all happens so fast that by the time you start trying to enjoy the ride, it's fucking over. It's all just a blinding flurry of loops and turns, and you almost can't enjoy it due to the physical pain it causes and the thoughts of, "Holy shit, I hope this harness is locked."

My wife and I marked our 32nd anniversary last week. I celebrated by hopping on an airplane to travel to PA that morning on a business trip. We said happy anniversary to each other on the phone that night. Ho-hum.
What does STD stand for? ;)
