You have only gotten 2 first place timings on the jump server, which was as of 3 months ago.. most likely you have 0 now so you are full of shit as usual!

i'm willing to say that hardest dm1 jump is actually the shells to hyper ledge across arena done inversely.. what i mean by this is, come up to lift from chain, against far wall(farthest from ledge across the arena), right strafe jump to hyper ledge and go across.. i have done this once, no demo though..

that been said i have come dangerously close to going from combat straight to mega like granny claims, but i've never completed it.. i'd like to see that jump done.. i dont believe the old .avi vid of someone doin it on q2p.

also i'd love to see the upper RL to rocket ledge by water in one circle/strafe jump as dael mentioned.

but idk if this has been covered before but i believe its fact that the hardest dm1 jump is from mega -> speed jump ->double jump stairs outside up to upper rl.

Yeah, you could call that the hardest jump on dm1... being that no one has ever done it.

I've gotten fairly close on that jump. But I'm also far enough to know that it's not possible, although I know many like to claim that it is...

it is possible if you start at chain stairs and bounce off the door. i would like to try it for a while and demo it but it would be in inordinately long demo. lol

are you talking about,
1) jumping from the top rail ledge by the 3 bullets up to upper rl without a weapon? (pretty sure this is impossible, but sometimes you can dj off the middle of walls in q2 like on dm3 by the shotgun)
or
2) jumping from the stairs leading up from the rail right to mega?

i've been pushed to the mega from the stairs themselves by a railgun. I'm almost positive both jumps are impossible without a weapon.

bind mouse3 "stop; record jumpattemt"

every time you hit mouse3 it stops any demo that is recording, and starts a new one.

Hit this on the way back from each unsuccessful attempt, and you will just end up with a very short demo.
Be carefull to manually type stop after you make it and not hit mouse3 again and overwrite it.

apparently he's attempting a speed run from above cg, out the megaroom door, 1/3 of the way down the steps to the rail water, and a double against the edge on the left from the step where he landed, to get up to upper rl.

I'm not sure its do-able.

If you're going down when you attempt the double (dropping a couple steps) you won't get the height you need to make it up there, and if you took a step on the stairs to level out prior to dj'ing you'd lose the speed you need to cover the distance.

good luck on that tho.
