Everybody all set for Thanksgiving?  We are doing ours this weekend to accommodate work/travel schedules.

Usually have a turkey and a whole beef tenderloin,  all the regular seasons fixings as well.   
Gonna be great, but don't think we'll have any football to watch

Nonsense. Saturday is college football day. Sunday is NFL day. Monday night, there's another NFL game on, Eagles and Redskins. Thursday night there should be a good game on NFL network, possibly on ESPN or NBC or some other network instead. Ravens and Falcons, both part of the 6 way tie at the moment for 1st place in the NFL.

Saturday Auburn University hosts University of Georgia. I have hopes that UGA will manage to beat them, but it's unlikely to happen. If Auburn wins, they are guaranteed a spot in the BCS title bowl, not to mention it would pretty much clutch the Heisman trophy for Auburn QB Cam Newton.

The Cam Newton story is getting more interesting.  I wonder if anything will come out of it before the season is over, or will it be one of those things that comes out years later like Reggie Bush's story.

I'm not sure that anyone would give a shit what Reggie Bush did had he not won the Heisman PLUS the Superbowl. It's hard to tell anymore what's bullshit for the sake of NCAA "politics" and whats a valid wrong-doing. I personally think Cam Newton is just having "one of those years". As in "one of those years" like Mark Ingram had last year, but isn't having this year. Seems like certain people in the football world will have one really excellent year, then follow it up with a year of mediocrity. In a way, I kinda hope not. Cam Newton's fun to watch even if I'm NOT an Auburn fan. I wish ALL quarterbacks had the ability to throw AND run like him. That's what's so disappointing about watching Georgia Tech games. GT's QB is a tough as nails runner with balls the size of church bells, but he can't pass for shit. If he was even an even "average" passer, he'd be deadly and damn near unstoppable. All GT does is run run run run though, kinda boring to watch, and easy for an opposing team to defend when they know you suck at passing. Anyway, Cam Newton is more of the scrambling Michael Vick type of QB. There's others I could mention that are decent scramblers from the QB position... like maybe Ben Roethlisberger, but he's so damn big that he really isn't all that fast like Vick. I remember back when Vick started out for Atlanta, he was damn good and fun to watch. Then in his next year, he managed to get "hurt", then sat back collecting his fat paycheck on his ass while fighting dogs on the side. Now that he's basically dirt poor again and forced to work his ass off in order to see a decent paycheck in the future, he's getting off his ass and performing again. Meh, fuck that guy.

Newton was the backup QB at FL. When Tebow said he was coming back for his senior year, Newton transferred.  If Newton had stayed at FL, their season would have been better this year.  I still think they would have lost the ALA game, but I think they would of beat Miss St. & LSU.  A one loss FL would of still been in the running for the BCS title.
How it would have turned out, we will never know.  I pull for Newton, I just hope the BS being spread about him is not true.

From my perspective, he was attempting to derail and/or troll the topic with an unfunny picture that is only meant to upset those who might be Obama supporters. I counter-trolled his troll with an on-topic singular trolling image meant to mock his own attempt to mock others. Then Fader comes in and... well, blatantly trolls in an off-topic manner with trolling borrowed from another thread, and thus, another topic. Bam. Off-topic. Then you and Reflex comment on the trolling, the counter-trolling, and the off-topic counter-counter-trolling with comments expressing exasperation.  So now... I suppose the original troll (DukeTogo) has accomplished his mission by successfully derailing this threads progress.

I suggest we end this nonsense and begin talking about turkeys and dressing and how much we hate our visiting-from-out-of-town relatives and therefore bring this topic back to a productive yet pointless discussion free of bigotry and malevolence.
