What ticks me off about all of this is that all of the shit with spawn girl will mean NOTHING beyond this point.

If you're going to re-override a map, FOR CHRISTS SAKE DO NOT DO THAT STUPID SHIT SHE DID WITH ALL THE ANNOYING FUCKING SOUNDS!!! Less is more. One or two small ambient sounds is fine, but don't go using 10 or more new sounds that include blaring hideous music that ruins a players ability to hear what's going on throughout the map. I've seen a map or two with YOUR name on it on the XTRA server that took me way too long to download because of frivolous bullshit sound files. Maybe you people are happy with the little clique of players you have gathering there nightly: not too big, not too small. But there will come a time when you might start slowly losing folks one by one. Why deter a potential newcomer from becoming a regular by forcing them to sit through boring downloads?

But I dont add too much sounds usually. The hidden maps i DID add a lot of sounds because they reminded me alot of Portal. And Portal is one of my favorite games (below quake 2 of course)

Asking me if it's OK to upload clips of copyrighted music puts me in an awkward position.

It's probably not OK.

In practical terms, since the music is just an excerpt that is being used in an old game for atmospheric purposes, it's hard to see how this would be damaging to the copyright holder in any way.  But I am not a lawyer.

So, I guess I've taken sort of a 'youtube' approach?  I don't police the uploads, but if I got a takedown request from a copyright holder I would certainly honor it.

But again, if you're asking if it's OK to upload music clips without permission from the copyright holder, then, no, it probably isn't.

I can easily steer clear of any music files or files with spawnys voice, but what about sounds like say, regenerate.wav?

Also, will Spawn Girls overrides be removed from mutant and vanilla as well?

First off, WHO THE FUCK IS NEF?

Second, people actually ENJOY Spawn Girls overrides, not think they are LAME "to the nth degree" Why do you think we wanted them on the 3rd server?!

Third, I did NOT make fun of spawn girl. She overreacted when I use my smile bind (Which I dont do anymore) after everything Debbie said about spawn girl, vice/versa. I actually respected spawny and her maps before she raged on me for no reason.
 
FOURTH, If you think spawny has "misplaced anger, check out this thread and see if you can say that with a straight face
