I was able to find his first name, date of birth (lol?), and approximate time of disappearing. I tried e-mailing Norwegian newspaper with the little bit of info that I have, but have had no response yet. Although even I was able to find this info doing a simple google search, I don't think it's right to post it myself having never really known the guy.

Months after he "disappeared".. he didn't talk much, but said things like daelmun and played like him. I've seen him use this name before as well.... It may have been an alias though, who knows.
Check the ip console! If the ffa one doesn't match up, try the same time period on central/east tdm servers as well please.
I did alias for a week or so when coming back on (msn gaming) zone after being offline for almost a year, but that was because everyone knew me and I just wanted to play undisturbed and not catch up on old times because I was playing at work. The alias I used was the zone generated Receptive_Mink which still is among the better aliases I've seen
This raises the question though, why would he publicly state he was daelmun, yet be a complete mystery to Gren and other close q2 players. He wasn't a nutcase or unstable in any way, the complete opposite. Still need more information, hopefully he is Mink.
