I know you are an Atlanta fan, were you happy with anything they did in the draft or off season?

I was rather pleased with the moves the Bengals did this draft.  They are truely trying to round out a team for Carson.  With Ocho Cinco, Antonio Bryant, Matt Jones and now Jordan Shipley in the slot (Texas) and a true tight end in Jermaine Greshama  (Oklahoma).  If these rookies and new players can fit in the mix and mesh with Carson, the team should be very solid.

I still have a feeling they may try to pick up T.O. by the start of the season.  No one is going after him, so he wouldn't be more than a million and change for a single season.  Plus him and Ocho are buddies and Carson likes him as well.

No changes or moves have occured to the D side of the field.  So, with a newly complete passing team and Cedric Benson, they are looking good.  I hope.

Hopefully the Bengals can learn from the few mistakes they made last season. All in all, they did pretty well. Hopefully the coaches can drill it into Chad Ochocinco's head that he needs to focus more energy on outrunning his defender rather than worrying about his popularity. If he could perform as consistently well as he was when he was giving it 100%, he wouldn't NEED the showboat act for attention. As for acquiring Terrell Owens, eh... I kinda hope not.  I don't think he'd give Cincinatti anything that they don't already have as a receiver other than maybe a good backup. I haven't been paying real close attention to what's been going on, just browsing the draft results on YahooSports mostly, but I think Buffalo should do whatever it takes to hold on to him and hopefully make a few more adjustments to start making it possible to be a strong competitor within the next 2 or 3 years. They did GREAT picking up Clemson's CJ Spiller at runningback, he was a real difference maker at Clemson. Speaking of the Bills, I see all over YahooSports that Tim Tebow was picked up by Denver, however... in the draft results table on the right side of the page, I see this:

Dunno if he was swapped to Buffalo or not, everywhere else it says he's with Denver. Twould be an interesting turn of events if it's true.

I wasn't particularly thrilled with Atlanta's 1st round pick of Missouri LB Sean Weatherspoon, they could've done worse I suppose, but they probably could've done better too. Their two 3rd round picks weren't too bad. Kentucky DT Corey Peters and Alabama OL Mike Johnson. They picked up UNLV center Joe Hawley in the 4th round, pretty much not needed in my opinion other than maybe as a backup for already awesome center Harvey Dahl. The one thing I think Atlanta needed to focus on building up was the defensive side of the ball, and it looks like they're trying to do that, so I can't complain too much. I think Atlanta's offense as it is has the potential to beat everyone as long as they can stay healthy. Even their backup QB has some experience and more confidence now that he's got a few games under his belt from Matt Ryan's injury absence last season. Hopefully my man number 33 Michael Turner can stay healthy this year. Not nearly as exciting with him on the bench. That motherfuckers like a loaded dumptruck with no brakes.
