Georgia Tech ran into a buzz saw and was lucky to get out alive.  They should know when a trap game is staring them right in the face!

Eeeeeeeyeah. They're 9 and 1 this year so far, have the best record in their bracket, ranked 10th, only lost to Miami so far... but they got lucky. Actually Wake Forest got lucky that Tech made so many boneheaded plays. Luckily they played it really smart in OT though. They were lined up on a 4th and 1 and let the play clock run all the way down to 1 before GT called for a timeout... obviously trying to see if WF would jump and get an offsides called on them so they could get a free 1st down. They came back and huddled, then jumped back to the line real quick and charged ahead with a QB sneak before they were completely ready for a 4th down conversion... which was a little unnerving to be honest. but after that, rushing it in for a TD was pretty easy. On hell of a good game to be honest though. I expected them to roll right over WF... kinda like Georgia did to Tennessee Tech today. 38 to zip. Ow!

I like Saturdays in the fall. The college rivalries are sometimes good. But I LOVE Sundays. NFL is so much more exciting to watch. They play a much different game than the college kids do. It's fucking beautiful.

The Falcons are going to obliterate the Redskins. So mote it be.

The Saints are going to pound the Panthers. So mote it be.

The Lions will lose. That's what they train for during training camp I think. They're great at it. But it could be worse,... they could be Tampa Bay.

And Dallas will lose. ;D I may even put up a wager against Dallas before tomorrow tonight if I manage to get paid for last weeks game in time.

That was exactly my point.  GT is a much better team than they showed last night.  They should have rolled, but they didn't.  You can't look past anyone, especially teams that only hear how badly they are gonna get rolled over!

:exqueezeme: Both are 1-8 now. If they play each other, the refs will win the game. Bucs sux. :nana:

And LOL @ Chad Ochocinco today trying to bribe a ref during a play challenge with a one dollar bill. :lolsign:

The Saints keep making my fucking head spin. One minute they're playing like they really don't give a shit, and the next minute they're flawlessly spot-on with everything.

Congratulations on getting the 0 off your back Tampa Bay.  I see more wins for you in the future.  You may even beat the Saints.  No, I'm not kidding.

Well, I lived long enough to see an 8-0 Saints team.  They played like crap and still won the game.  That's different.  This team is different from all the other teams I've seen in N.O.  Who knows where it will end?  My guess is with heartbreak.  Until then, I'll enjoy the ride.   8)

I am starting to have faith in the Bengals again, but that is when things go horribly wrong.  Like a GF you think will change, yet always disappoints.  If they beat the Steelers again, I may shit an egg.

Side note – went to the Bengals/Ravens game this weekend.  A sales person gave me tickets for this game,  but in my boozed up state, somehow grabbed tixs that I didn’t use from 2008, for the same game.  Still was able to get in, then got in a heated debate with the people who had the legit tickets.  So the usher, hooked us up with even better seats, thinking it was a mistake on their end..they never noticed it was from the wrong year, nor did I until after the whole situation ended.  So, if you got any old tickets laying around…give it a shot.  Nothing like paying 6.50 for a single beer… :-\

I saw this coming. I actually expected the league to publicly address it sooner than this though.

NO MORE CAPTAIN POSING IN FOOTBALL!

http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news?slug=cr-celekpose111209&prov=yhoo&type=lgns

Funny is one thing. This was slightly amusing and comical. But of course Captain Morgan Co. had to go getting stupid and attempt to PAY players to do this. And yeah, it IS a little like "excessive celebration". Football is quite commercial enough, it doesn't need to become as all-out commercially dominated as NASCAR nor does it need to become as contrived as fucking WWE or ECW. Players pimping products on TV like Gillette razors or Pepsi or Viagra or whatever... thats one thing. But keep that shit OFF the field. It could influence one player to make a boneheaded play that he might otherwise know better than to try. That Could affect an entire team, an entire game, an entire season, or a coach's position with the team. I say way to go NFL on that call.

I'm hearing a common theme from Saints skeptics....they are overrated and N.E. will demonstrate the fact.  What will these folks say when they get rolled? N.O. 37, N.E. 24   :o

Hope the 'boys keep fighting with their coaches.   :fight:   :P

I dunno. If it's all gonna come unglued at every edge for the Saints, I expect it to begin with the game against New England. However, if they can beat the Patriots (and I really really really hope they do), then I see the very real possibility of the Saints heading into the playoffs 16 and 0. I dunno how strong their running game will still be without Reggie Bush, hopefully he can show up next Monday. Kinda pisses me off. All these teams that might be strong contenders keep having key players succumb to injuries, but Randy Moss could get hit tomorrow by a fucking herd of garbage trucks and he'd get up with only a dirty spot on his shirt.

But then again, don't go forgetting about Minnesota and Brett Favre. If anyone can outpass Brees for advancement in the playoffs, it'll be Favre.

I won't talk too much shit, but I expect the Cowboys luck to take a sharp U-turn in the last half of the season.

I still haven't forgiven John Elway and the 1998 Denver Broncos for robbing Atlanta of their chance at a Superbowl victory. To this day I have to spit whenever someone mentions his name or I see him on TV. Oh if only real life were just like playing Madden NFL 08.
