Not the first time this has happened, but the first time I've bothered posting about it.

I've played on the Mootown server before, many times actually. But in the past year or so, sometimes when I try to connect, it kicks me instantly. Someone sent out an "invite!" from there tonight, so I checked out the goto list and saw several people there, so I figured I'd give it a whirl. But every time I went to connect, it instantly kicked me. I went back to my address book and rejoined the empty vanilla server. As soon as "usage: connect <server>" popped up in my console, I quickly put in "goto mootown" and a couple of times I actually got IN for a few seconds... before it kicked me again.

I have no idea what the problem is. I'm not using any cheat files or sketchy clients. I'm not using AntiCheat, but not many people these days do, so I don't think that's a problem.

I did notice one odd line in my console. I'll post the condump and highlight it.

It's unlikely to be related to the Malformed PCX file error.

I don't have access to the Mootown server logs. However, that "unknown command 'check'" following the kick makes me wonder if it might be something Q2Admin related.

It'll probably be necessary for the server owner to search the logs to see whether a reason is listed there.

One thing you could check (just in case) is to type "userinfo" in the Q2 console, and see whether any variables shown are set to unusual values.

When the map changed, I was able to get in and play, and someone else there said that the same thing happens to them sometimes and that it's some server error.
