I never had any reason to hack nor will I; always 100% of the time USE AC unlike you.  So please don't ever think that you and I are in the same boat.

Actually, I use anticheat about 99% of the time, save for the whole XANA incident which was apparently so bad. I don't have any reason to hack either; in fact, I have never done it. Hacking would pretty much confirm all the lies those wodx newbies love to spread about me; and I would rather not have that happen.

What "paks" are you talking about? My current pak that I'm using is here. It's incomplete, but feel free to examine it if you want to see I don't use any kind of hacks in my pak.

I haven't seen that map in ages.

PS: afaik Vae wasn't perm banned.. just temporarily for a bit and occasionally kicked manually.

PPS: All told, I'd extend the "don't show up to this" to anyone who doesn't want to show up, play for the duration and just have a good time clicking and dying for 30-40 minutes.
It's effectively a community outreach event, made to bring in people to play some ffa insta who normally would stick with regular DM or some other mod until they see the large turnout in goto or come to see what all the invites are about.
When people's attitudes get in the way of this, I prefer they don't come and/or bother the people who may not ever touch my servers for any other reason.

I'm not the nicest person around, and some of my clan members can be abrasive here on the forums, but I would prefer that people's first impressions of the IRTDM servers are not shitty impressions caused by other players who don't represent our clans stated goals of having a good time playing q2, being fairly sportsmanlike about it, and setting aside oversized egos when we are in-game.

but imo its too big even for 20 players, maybe not, never really played on it!

When we've tried q2dm18 in the past (on vanilla) I've wondered if the gameplay might be improved by adding a couple teleporters to connect the "far ends" of dm1 and dm8 to one another.

As I recall, the maps are connected only by a single narrow passageway, so one tends to just stay on whichever 'side' one spawns on.

I'm liking this idea better than the q2dm1nocamp one. People already basically "know" the layout of the map/s. If they don't know the installed teleporter situation, the event will be long enough to learn it. I have no idea how to create overrides and map changes like that, so if someone could get a copy of the map with newly installed teleporter locations and attach it to a post in this thread, we'll look it over and go from there.

Furthermore, to anyone who does undertake the task of creating these teleporter locations on this map, a big THANK YOU in advance to whoever it is.

I added 4 teleports:

Tele 1 - DM1 Underground to MG on dm8
Tele 2 - DM1 CG to SSG on dm8

Tele 3 - DM8 Powerup to Boxes room on DM1
Tele 4 - DM8 HB to Mega on DM1

The players are also spawning in the air to prevent camping

Sound like a good choice, adding teleporters to avoid spawn camping.

Derv / Foc: When the map is ready ¿would you consider loading in IRTDM2 so we(I) can fuck around with some bots?
