was very very fun.

Some people got some great tricks with the custom weapons.

I tried, tried & tried to get QPong running with q2admin, won't work. So my server's leper atm.

You must download the client files! For some reason or another the ball model and skins do not download properly off of the server for some users.

Extract this to the directory above your quake 2 installation directory.
i.e. if you have Quake 2 installed to C:\quake 2 then extract this to C:\

Map list to be determined. I'll update with a map pack to make this as easy as possible for the users!

When you first join the server you will be given a menu to join the game. From this menu select a team.
If you close this menu by accident then type team in the console to bring it back up

This is going to be a blast. DON'T MISS IT!!!!

just an FYI, goto will NOT work with qpong. q2admin doesn't like working with it so you NEED to use the "connect" command.

Sorry, I've been busy (new baby & remodeling part of living room all in same week) & haven't had time to chat with the q2admin people for help on it.

GOTO HAPPYFRIAR will still work to take people to the server. Just not from it...

I updated the server config so maps can be changed manually ANd have balls spawn, and I added all the maps to the autorotation.

I've thought about it, but the past few weeks we've been having to just wing' it with so much stuff going on keeping the 3 of us away from the tastycast activities in general. Same reasons that we were unable to shoutcast the past 2 splatterfests.

Once we get back on our feet I'll start a new topic weekly. Speaking of which, maybe the tastycast should get it's own sub-board. I think that Quadz and Jehar floated the idea once but decided against it for some reason. This may be a reason to start one.

On another note. Who's up for an RPG style DM like Vortex, KotS or Giex?

I talked to jehar last night about shoutcasting the event. He was busy but said he could setup the server. I said no because if he wasn't going to be there I didn't want to have it 100% dead (no music AND no shout).

Actually DaHang and I ran smoothly in a similar situation casting the EDL final (Yay for Purri). It would have worked and I think that it may have still been set up to broadcast from mumble, I just was not free to do the shoutcast for reasons involving a dog house, a couch, and an unhappy wife.
