i think we REALLY need that mod hosted on TastySpleen. Even if it just dead-ended to the server (server had no goto, etc)

Sunday Splaterfest this week is: QPONG

When: Sunday, March 22nd at 9:00pm EST
Where: Server TBA
How: Here are the client files:
http://tastyspleen.net/quake/downloads/mods/qpong/qpong1.zip

You must download the client files! For some reason or another the ball model and skins do not download properly off of the server for some users.

Extract this to the directory above your quake 2 installation directory.
i.e. if you have Quake 2 installed to C:\quake 2 then extract this to C:\

Map list to be determined. I'll update with a map pack to make this as easy as possible for the users!

When you first join the server you will be given a menu to join the game. From this menu select a team.
If you close this menu by accident then type team in the console to bring it back up

This is going to be a blast. DON'T MISS IT!!!!

must have the one that's z'ish in shape, goal is just the end of the hall with all the player spawns underneath it.
I still chuckle remembering that one, keeping the ball there just squishing ppl for awhile till they can break the cycle.

ok that sucked.... was there for one map and then my PC decided to shut itself down at random, no reboots just *poof*. Probably the psu or something.... phfft

Next time set the ball_per_team to just 2 or maybe even 1. There's not enough ammo to defend your goal.

This was my first qpong experience, i was the low scorer on most maps, but had a lot of fun!

I'd like to play some more...

Agree with PNJ, too many balls! 1-4 balls per map, depending on size.
Ball traffic (Cross town Balls) in some spots was terribly difficult to move.

Don't worry loons, It's better to have balled and lost than never to have balled at all.

To ball or not to ball, that is the question.

A ball in the hand is better than 2 in the bush..... or is it?
