I'm well read.  And I listen to WWL regularly, so I think I understand the situation the Saint's are facing....realistically.  Maybe my prediction was too negative; they can and will still be a good team.  I just think this will be a serious setback and it will take more than a few months to get back to anything close to the vibe they had going. Vilma's gone. Harper may be gone (no big loss in my opinion). The rest of the league and fans will label N.O. as a bunch of cheap thugs and 99% of the sports "reporters" will bring it up every chance they get. I think almost every Saint fan hopes Mr. Benson will offer Drew Brees the contract he deserves and allow him to help hold things together during the hard times that are coming. They made a hard bed for themselves, and they will have to sleep in it.

I'm proud to be a Mississippian.  I work with people from Louisiana often and I have meetings in N.O. from time to time and find both experiences quite pleasant. I don't care what the idiots in the rest of the country think of us, "we is good people".

Pay Brees the money and let's get started dealing with what we have to live with for a season.

Foc  your Falcons don't have a pick in the first round 

My Bucs could have picked Blackmon from OKST (And they need rec. help), but  they trade it to the Jags and then get a safety at the 7th pick.  Not sure I like that move.

Saw yesterday that they (Falcons) were bring Asante Samuel over from Philly to play corner I think. Haven't kept up with anything other than that. Don't really care if they don't have a 1st round pick, there's really no position they lack at the moment other than maybe a good runningback, and since they have Michael Turner, Jason Snelling, and Quiz Rogers, I highly doubt they'll make any adjustments there. Like the boneheads the management usually is, looks like they're gonna focus more on defense adjustments. Wouldn't mind them trying to get another QB either. I like Matt Ryan, he's smart, he's pretty accurate, and he's likable, but he just ain't shown that he has "it" really. But when I look around at what other teams have, I can't really complain about him too much. I'd keep him.

College playoff - Like it or Hate it 

I like it, it will hopefully help take some of the bitchin out of it and it's one more big game to watch.

WAT? Another change to "post-season" play? They already give 6 and 6 teams a "bowl" game, but by all means, let's see how much more confusing we can make things.

I like the idea of a small playoff, but somebody will always be left out and feel slighted. Really, the reason for this is summed up by one word........money.
