Above commands make R1Q2 look very softwarey but with coloured lights. Fooling around with contrast has some neat results too. Got this from here:

-Works in Yamagi even though most of the commands do not exist (anymore?). Adding gl1_particle_square or gl3_particle_square also will make all the particles look like the square software ones in the Yamagi client.

Here are some precompiled binaries of the yamagi port.

The latest one is at the bottom of the page.

They are much newer than the quetoo code, but no celshading.  Also, the http downloading is buggered up with quetoo. I always had to disable it, but that was under Linux.

Hello,

I get an error with q2dm1

"couldn't load textures/e1u1/flat1_2.wal  -invalid file format"

Otherwise all is good

Also, these are hi res for most, but not all of the q2dm textures . Is that correct? I refer to the lower res green walls around the rail gun on q2dm3 or am I not loading everything?

Look's great though, especially the steel grate type walls on q2dm1. Very sharp.

Forgot to mention that the link I posted above should download QSB which is a q2 server browser that you can set up and then join one of the 290 or so servers listed by dbl clicking on one.

Quake / zquake2

Anyone know anything about zquake2 or version 3.26? Is it a safe client? For some reason q2pro and r1q2 make my old Xeon and my laptop i5 run hotter than I'd like, hotter than cod4, black ops and doom3.  3.24 runs as cool as regular quake2 but it seems kinda laggy. Zquake2 seems to be an anomoly but does anyone use it?
