This abuse has hit new levels.  I wish something could be done.  Most of today, there have been at least 3 of these chat bots on.  And the one guy (Panj^.....) chooses the campgrounds map every 5 minutes.  They are intentionally trying to drive players away.  I'd hate to see the server popularity die because of a few twits.

Deputizing a few players that you trust is a great idea.  Hopefully, they are active players and can kick him until he gets bored with trying to reconnect.  Maybe consider removing the map vote thing for a while too.  A couple of players intentionally vote for the same maps, over and over, just because they know others don't like them.  They don't even play the map.  They vote and spectate.

A few of us were talking on Vanilla today and this topic came up. Funny how some "bad" maps turn out be other's favorites. I mean, if its clear its a stinker, you would think others would be neutral about it, at best.

Apparently, ty must have pissed off S A N T A.  Santa spent all day yesterday, being ignorant and spoofing ty's name.  I was hoping he would lose interest.  He is back again today.  Can you mute him and/or limit he alias usage?  Here is a quick condump of today....

giving mute power to certain players would be cool.... but it seems like it would be kind of inconsistent, more based on your mood toward a player than him disrupting other people

 ... and therein lies the problem.

If it was a vote mute....then wouldn't it be based on the mood of the majority of  the players at any given time.  That would be a good thing right?  If, at any given time, people are annoyed by someone that is more interested in iirritating via chat than playing, then let them mute em!!  imho
