Quote from: Pan on August 19, 2005, 03:26:17 PMoh well, just leave it be then. Well... When someone spams something obnoxious at the end of a map, I just sort of feel sorry for them and move on. I don't see how it would benefit me to get bent out of shape - that's prolly just what they want. But anyway - maybe some sort of "vote mute" would work? How about an "stfu" command? Pan: stfu floating turdconsole: 1 vote to mute Floating Turd, 5 more votes neededquadz: stfu floating turdconsole: 2 votes to mute Floating Turd, 4 more votes neededetc.Dunno... Unfortunately with this method there are ways they could change their names and fool my scripts, which they would likely figure out eventually. Hmmmm....Regards,

I don't know how to interpret your question, "What's there to lose, freedom of speech?".
My Advice:
giving mute power to certain players would be cool.... but it seems like it would be kind of inconsistent, more based on your mood toward a player than him disrupting other people
ok, if majority of people is finding my shoe shining bind, offensive (see my last post), then i will take it down. im thinking of putting some less offensive binds. I really dont take the word "newb" offensive now, cause a newb to me is a new gamer, or quaker. ive been called a newb pretty recently, and i really dont mind if someone says i suck, but all i can say is that q2 rocks, and i havent even been playing gtaIII or qIII, due to the fun of playing q2.I basically feel the same way you guys feel, but all i do is ignore it, and smile about it, and have fun. gg peeps!
