lol, I knew the bullets were real....I meant the video and having the prairie dogs basically blown to pieces and the coyote...I wasn't sure if they were allowed to post things basically being blown to bits on youtube haha so thought it may have been made to look extremely realistic....and those shotgun slugs are fucking crazy haha.

It doesn't really matter what you shoot such a small animal with, it's always gonna go flying like that just from the kinetic energy of the bullet impact. As far as I know, the bullet itself does not contain any explosive compounds, it's just a hollow cavity round that breaks into a bazillion pieces on impact. They make the claim that it leaves the pelts wonderfully intact but I highly doubt that's the case, especially with something as small as prairie dog. When a bullet fragments in tissue, it's velocity is always greatly reduced, so anything that's .22 or .224 is not going to exit any tissues thicker than 12 inches 95% of the time, so you're probably safe harvesting coyote pelts with them. A prairie dog is probably 6 inches thick and would be shredded into nothing more than a stain of goo on the ground. I wouldn't recommend hunting deer with them unless you're less than 150 yds from the target and using a scope that can virtually thread a needle at that range. Anything other than a broadside or frontal heart/lung shot is just going to wound the shit out of it and make it run 5 miles away until it bleeds out and dies 24 hours later. Even a broadside shot on a deer with one would be a bad idea, most of the time you're using a higher velocity round and aiming for the shoulder bone so that it'll hit the shoulder joint, the lungs and the heart all at once to drop it immediately. You have ZERO chance of piercing the shoulder bone with a hollow 22 even at point blank range.
