Quote from: quadz on September 01, 2008, 06:06:00 PMHOWEVER. If you are suggesting that it is somehow irrelevant whether someone elected to high office believes mythology should be taught in science class, or believes (if she indeed does) the Earth is less than 10,000 years old, then I most assuredly disagree. You're assuming that that was the only quote I used. That's not the point I'm making. The point that I'm making is that Jager can be a racist and a sexist and we should acknowledge that, but on the same token, singling out a religion and bashing it is not any better. Normally I would continue your argument, because of your being childish about the concept of it, quoting a comedian as appropriate political theory, and portraying only one side of the argument with a skewed half truth regarding the alternate view's premise. I don't expect creationism to be taught in public schools, nor do I even support the public school system. However that was never my point. Either way I'm not going to divert the point for some lame attempt to explain away vitriol towards one specific religion. Honestly, I got hit with the splatter all the way over here from the three of you foaming at the mouth.

yup. during one time we had a multibillion dollar federal cash surplus that we developed on the strength of our economy, during the other time period we sent all that money to Iraq, on plastic pallets, next to containers of M16s, and neither was accounted for all that well.
