What's broken?

more often than not you can just fix it yourself, rather than paying some huge amount of money to have someone else do it.

Ahh well thats the problem, ive no idea, but here's the problem thing.

Ill plug it in as normal, and try and play, but NO sound comes out AT ALL! I tried switchin cable ends, turning all the knobs, wiggling about, etc.. Ive had the jack plate off and the wires for the jack arent off, im not sure about the others as i do not know what im doing, but im gonna try someone elses cable, it may be the cable, or perhaps the amp, im not sure.

noctuary - I wish I had the amp you have. That 50 watt boogie is about perfect for any situation. When I was younger, I thought bigger, higher wattage, LOUDER, was the only thing that mattered. It isn't. You can get better tone pushing a "smaller" amp...and if you play live it can be miked and/or be run through the mains. If you play a small room, you'll still be sounding sweet. You probably already know that from being around alot of live music.

Adam - do you have a tuner? If so, you can still tune your axe and work on chords. No excuses, slacker!

well said KM, you actually learn more about tone that way too....just the natural sound of the strings will teach you alot, and also about picking technique, no amp to mask the true sound of fingers on strings on frets...

lol, true, yet I do not have a tuner, Ill wait till my guitaring buddy Andy gets off his holidays and borrow his, I know I have to get one soon, but im just soooooo broke! My amp is a small one lol, only 15watt!

This thing is good for most live situations, i've played some tiny venues with it at about 1/4 volume and still caused irreparable hearing damage to the audience members. I prefer the compression you get from this thing at lower volumes, when you turn it up the sound can become very raw and abrasive, which i don't always prefer, however when the clean channel is turned up really loud, you get some sweeeeeeeeeeet blues lead tones. I prefer the clean tones of marshall amps over mesa amps, but I didn't buy this thing for the clean tones. 

I'm saving up to buy a big fucking 4x12 cab for it. There is no substitute for the 4x12 tone. Period.

I used to have the big Mesa Road Ready 2 x 15 anvil styled cabinet with EV speaks for my rig...it got ripped off 
I now use a 1 x 15 EV  and a 4 x 10 for my Mesa head... It truly kicks some ass too 
That 2 x 15 cabinet was too loud - it moved too much air -  but for recording it was t3h poop!

Naturally. I have a custom celestion black shadow in my amp right now.  I think mesa puts those same speakers in all their 4x12s. I might settle for a marshall cab (probably one of the hugeass mode four ones), but mesa would be prefferable.

Here's a cool chord for you to learn-- e7#9, or the jimi hendrix chord. Every guitarist should know it. While it's not useful for much besides playing jimi hendrix songs, it's still fun to know. I've included a tab. The open E note is optional, but often gives it a richer sound.
