I notice a few threads are moving onto guitars, so i create a holy guitar thread where all guitar related things are said! First minitopic - BANDS - Who in a band, whats it called, whats the website all that kinda stuff!

My band, or 'our' band as we prefer to call it, (i made it tho lol) isnt actually up and running yet, we need a drummist and bassist still, also me and andy and matt (guitarists/vocalist) still need to get awesome at guitar first. i started building the site tho. we are called 'converted' as we 'converted' our lifestyle without guidance or jumping on the bandwagon if you catch my drift (we are now punk/metal people. the band itself is medium paced rock i guess (stuff like my chemical romance, but this is just first ideas.

HAD a band a month or two ago, till the main lead guitarist started pissing me off, then I just broke it off. The band was called 'Leech' and we were a 4-member metal group. I was guitarist/lead vocalist.

Our equipment was something like this:
2 x Ibanez GRG321
1 x Ibanez GSR205BK
Pearl Drumset + extra stuff, dunno all the details, but an entry-level drumset none the less.
Marshall Amps
4x Audix Microphones, vocal, cant remember model name
Yamaha 16 channel, 4 bus mixer
Some kinda Yamaha keyboard that we never really used much
we had some cheap ass Gemini turntables and mixer, effects etc. at the beginning, when we still had a DJ
and a whole lotta extra bits n pieces, but I honestly cant remember it all

you got any recordings to post or anything? i like listening to bands that i regard as 'real', people who like arent sponsored, dont have the experience and stuff like that.

I have stuff I did way back when I did hip-hop, but my rock recording sounded crap, so I deleted em straight away!

what model amps did you use?

I myself am a big fan of the shure sm58 mic. It's good n cheap, so I can smack it around a little, and given my vocal style, a high quality mic is unnecessary, in fact, I like the cheap mic kind of sound.

Got some more specs for you:
4x Microphones (until they got stolen) : Audix OM3 (now I've got 4 OM2's)
Marshall TSL60

Hell I dunno what the fuck our pedals makes are but I'll check it out and get back to ya on that, including a kick-ass vocal pedal.

I gotta use good microphones coz of the heavy-ness of my vocals. Cheaper ones distort alot for me. I use a voice pedal to enhance my live performances further, gives me extra tone etc.

Shure is a very good value-for-money option tho.

that amps pretty cool, though I'm not a big fan of EL34s, my amp came with them and it sounded like shit, possibly because they were on their last legs.
