(A few jokes I made up under the unbelievable stress of immenant project deadlines)

If you have a variable that represents a floating decimal point and lets say you call that variable "ship". Now if you were to add an integer named water to ship will the answer become an integer, or will the ship stay-a-float?

If you multiply 1000000000.000000001 by 0 will you have double or nothing?

Man, that takes me back. I coveted a Cromemco when I was in college. Now I am glad I couldn't afford one at the time. Somewhere in my attic I have an Imsai front panel from the good old S-100 days. I have some nice Z80 microcomputers on STD Bus cards too. They were a lot better.

We're working in a 2d game engine. In this engine you create binding maps for keys and other input and push them onto a stack of inputs. This is also how you bind the mouse. I don't know why you would need to bind a mouse in a 2d game anyway seeing as the main functionality of a mouse in a 2d game is to click on objects. While unsuccessfully trying to bind the mouse, my coworker found a help article stating that if your mouse is being controlled by the normal gui (allowing it to click buttons and other gui controls) then mouse inputs gets absorbed and do not reach the binding stack to determine their action.

Which furthers my attitude towards mouse inputs. I don't use them because they are just so self absorbed.

One night when his charge was pretty high, Micro Henry decided to try to get a cute little coil to let him discharge. He picked up Millie Amp and took her for a ride on his Mega cycle. They rode across the Wheatstone bridge, around by the sine wave, and stopped in a magnetic field by a flowing current.

Micro Henry, attracted by Millie's characteristic curves, soon had her resistance at a minimum and his field was fully excited. He laid her on the ground potential, raised her frequency, lowered her capacitance and pulled out his high voltage probe. He inserted his probe into her test socket, connected them in parallel, and began to short circuit her shunt.

Fully excited, Millie Amp exclaimed, "Mho, mho, give me mho!" With his tube operating at it's maximum peak current and her coil vibrating from the current flow, she soon reached her maximum peak potential. The excess current flow had gotten her coil hot and Micro Henry started rapidly discharging and soon had drained off every last electron.

They fluxed all night trying various connections and sockets, until Micro Henry's bar magnet had lost all of it's field strength. Afterwards, Millie Amp tried self induction and damaged her solenoid. With his batteries fully discharged, Micro Henry was unable to further excite his generator, so they ended it all by reversing polarity and blowing each other's fuses.
