greenday was once cali-punk back in the olden days.. now they are a shitty whine band, sum 41 is just generic new rock, and good charlotte is about as far from punk as you can get, the whiny little pussy assmongers

Cornhole: No offense, but don't say another word about true punk until you watch The Decline Of Western Civilization, directed by Penelope Spheeris. It pisses me off that almost no one these days knows about the originators of punk. Sure everyone knows about the ramones, but they hardly originated anything. How about Catholic Discipline, X, The Germs, Black Flag (back in their skinhead days), The slits, or Fear? Ever heard of Madam Wong's? If you don't know any of these bands, you don't know shit, so stop acting like you do.

Adam: Bonus points for listening to some of the only good Modern punk bands on the planet. Finally a band that can stay true to their roots and is content to make music without selling out.

That's right, they're gay. They have never had a single good release, and never will. All these bands are just cheap imitations of other bands. They've had 2 records and they think they're the fucking beatles or something. Modern "Emo" bands are nothing but a watered down version of Real emo, such as Fugazi. Avenged Sevenfold scream like girls (just like every other metalcore band) they think that if they shreik enough that makes them metal. Nothing makes me madder than to see the work of truly revolutionary bands being ripped off and cheapened by a bunch of pretty boys who have yet to hit puberty. The only reason most of these bands exist is to MAKE MONEY. they were put together by record companies for the sole purpose of milking a once exciting and now tired genre for all it's worth. That's exactly what happened to Punk. Once malcom mclaren took over management of the sex pistols, it was the beginning of the end. Now the same thing is happening to Metal, with bands such as All That Remains, Chimaira, Avenged Sevenfold, and disturbed rehashing shit that was already done 10 years earlier and repackaging it for a younger demographic who are too young/stupid/lazy to know that they're being spoonfed shit.

So do the world a favor, the next time one of these idiot poser bands comes to your town, slash the tires on their tour bus and fuck their girlfriends.
