There have been plenty of times when playing on vanilla or dm where I have downloaded player models even though I set the cvar for it off.

Honestly, I don't see what's wrong with custom models. Other than skins like the lemming and the sheep which I replaced with a grunt, I don't see anything wrong with them.

probly cause a previous server connected to stuffed you the cvar to turn it on

happens to me occasionally... easy fix though

Are those some of bean's tubbies? He made Po a long long long time ago. He started with some of the others but I don't think I ever saw them.
