Looks an awful lot like a guy I used to work with. Except he was more the biker type. He always wore a Harley Davidson bandanna, and I'm guessing he owned probably 50 or more, because he always had a different one every single day. I never saw him without one on. He always had his hair tied back in a pony tail to keep from burning it off with a oxy-acetylene torch when brazing up refrigerant pipe. I just figured he had long hair and never thought anything about it. Until this one time we went to another state to do some work. After work, we all went over to a restaurant by the hotel we were at. He comes walking in with the most god awful-looking "kentucky waterfall" mullet I've ever seen. It was all I could do to keep a straight face and keep from spitting out my beer with laughter. And of course I never teased him about it or mentioned it either, the guy was damn near 7 feet tall and could probably bench press 2 of me.

Terry Washington, this bud's for you. And tell your haircut that the 70's are OVER!

I always assumed that all nerds have long hair, whether Beatles on the Ed Sullivan Show length or longer. I have a cousin that does blacksmithing as a hobby and some related field in a factory for his day job. He's got a giant bushy beard, hair below his sholders, and it is HUGE! We actually tell our kids that he will come and get them if they don't behave at family reunions. (his dad is the same size and my parents used to use that trick on us when we were little) He's a second generation gumba. And when I say gumba, I mean his father literally tore the door off of a car when he was working as a bouncer at a night club.

So moral of the story, that is less of a style and more of a human arch-type.
