how does that effect the gore level? Is it going to be tuned down for a broader audience? :\
Rather, is the gore going to be totally nonexistant (at least by default) in order to make it more acceptable by today's standards? I don't remember seeing much blood besides some splatters in COD4, and halo's blood is... blue. Warsow, a game that's attempting to get into public consiousness and pro-tier organizations, is really low on the gore. It works for their style, but I still have to admit a growing trend towards bloodless fps'
Remember that games like Goldeneye removed bodies to lower poly counts and improve performance. If quake4 deathmatch is less gorey than Quake4 single player, it's probably performance related.
but it's not performance related. the claim was that the performance would suffer, but in reality it didn't
