How does this happen on base2 in vanilla?

madmonk was railed by Buzzer Pager
Alice was popped by REMA's grenade
peewee_RotA was cut in half by Warkilla's chaingun
Buzzer Pager was cut in half by Warkilla's chaingun
HotMaker entered the game
anticheat HotMaker is not using anticheat.
Warkilla was popped by REMA's grenade
|iR|D3V!ous entered the game
anticheat |iR|D3V!ous failed 4 file checks.
|iR|D3V!ous was popped by REMA's grenade
peewee_RotA was melted by Warkilla's hyperblaster
Alice blew up.

madmonk disconnected

I thought the blew up message only existed from target_explosions and explosive barrels. It seems some how she exploded taking me out as well. Was this a glitch with holding in a grenade? If it is, i've never heard of this one before.

its possible on a single player map to come into contact with a function on the map that creates explosions
if you get caught in that i guess

but those things should not be appearing in a dm game

Ha, I do not think it's a glitch. I know how to get peeps to blow up, and sometimes I just focus on that instead of worrying about my frags, just to be a little shit. Let me guess, you were by the railgun, above hyper when this happened??

Hehe, yeah. There are two ways to cause explosions on base2, in the version we run on tastyspleen.

(One of them is very bad news to the lil bastids who like to take the elevator out of commission...

)

So target_explosions were added to the map? As catalyst said, it was at the railgun near the hyper and I know there's not target_explosions that get activated there in single player.

Yup... The BSP file hasn't been changed, just the entities using the r1q2 server side .override capability.

There are two buttons on base2 that now trigger explosions....

Haha, well... the 2nd one is very special-purpose. It's by the machinegun... It works on noodnicks who would try to stall the elevator....

I didn't know there was any buttons and often wondered why I blew up!!
I demand to know where the other button is!!!

Many of the .override's on vanilla were provided by an anonymous donor.

I've done a few on vanilla and xatrix... Others have also contributed to xatrix overrides...

For years there have been a number of goodies I've wanted to add to some of the vanilla maps... just need to find the time...
