I kind of suspect crouching behind a spawn with an ssg, blasting motionless players on a crowded server, is a little cheesier than what the game designers originally had in mind. But I could be wrong.
shooting motionless players
imho screw ethics... if i'm completly slaughtering someone it isn't fun. I play for the challenge. If that means I purposely mess up a pattern or not get a gun then so be it.why would you even want to play if you always win & there's no challenge? I could play checkers against myself for THAT kind of entertainment!

If that means I purposely mess up a pattern or not get a gun then so be it.This is my point. When it comes down to mouse polling rates and adjusting FPS to give you a distinct advantage, that just takes the fun out of it. People who do everything they can to win are not usually fun compitition. This is not chess or Risk. Extreme compition is only there when you put it there. You'll notice that with a large group of non competative players, playing fair comes naturally and will be consistant for hours. Even competative players with high pings will instinctively become more curtious to other players. It takes a specific and determined will to turn a game competative. It's also a very new concept. Even when quake 1 first came out everyone was instinctively curtious. Now standing in corners and even the abbreviation "AFK" is a very new concept. Item shopping, and quad timing was little to non-existant, although camping was easier at the time especially since ID invented the Rocket Jump to help support campers.Throughout the years I've just observed curtious players to be the norm and competative players to be the exception. And it gets tiring when games are given to the exception at the cost of the norm.

imo elysium doesnt hack, he just owns you all and i guess some people have a hard time admitting that.I was playing in dm and this guy starts saying "fuck you elysium you cheater" after I said "he doesnt cheat imo" the guys like "you've got to be kidding me! how is it possible to kill me with 3 shots of the shotgun?!? " I replied "close range" The guy says "OH BULL SHIT" lolI replied "because if the SSG can kill with one shot and it is twice as strong as the sg then realistically the sg should only take 2 shots close range right?" Now ely being the stand up polite guy he is never replies to such non sense and always says GG or GGS before DC'ing. And I respect him for that.my .2
To me, the best games have fun but respectful talk and competitive play.
this was on the dm server. thats where i play most of the time
