Someone I know has a unique tattoo. When asked what it signifies, he replies "stupid 16 year old". I tend to agree with him. I see tattos as a brand, just like a cattle brand. It doesn't belong to you, you belong to it. It's just like a billboard sign on a highway, or on the side of a bus/taxicab except on your body ... a lifelong advertisement. Life is a very long time in most cases. You advertise to the general public, aka: strangers something about yourself with every tattoo and/or piece of clothing with writing on it and have no choice about it. I prefer to choose who knows something about me, not just any tom, dick, and harry. I choose when and where to advertise, if ever. I may even want to false advertise. Point is, I have a choice, people with visible tattos do not, to a certain extent. This might not bother some in the least, but someday it might. The "someone" above refered to is me, and I despise my brand. I feel "pwnd" for life.
