[22:12] <EG|DaHanG> <EG|DaHanG> can you enable votes during game[22:12] <EG|DaHanG> <EG|DaHanG> and cap # of players per team at 4[22:27] <R1CH> well captain can lock teams when they are "full"[22:27] <R1CH> i don't see why there needs to be a fixed limit[22:32] <EG|DaHanG> which is perfectly fine if everybody knows what they're doing[22:32] <EG|DaHanG> then you get into a pointless 5 minute delay about who should sit[22:32] <EG|DaHanG> instead of just first come first serve[22:32] <EG|DaHanG> 5v5 is NEVER used[22:32] <quadz> ah[22:33] <EG|DaHanG> it's 100% a delay maker[22:27] <R1CH> mid-game voting is a little trickier since opentdm refreshes the map after a vote finishes[22:27] <R1CH> maybe for timelimit only?[22:55] <quadz> regarding mid-game voting... what would be an example of something that would tend to be voted on? timelimit ?[23:03] <EG|DaHanG> primarily restart[23:03] <EG|DaHanG> but timelimit too
Define "proper" voting? Define "free style team creation"? I can't improve things if all you do is go "well it sucks gxmod/osp/battle is better".

I can't improve things if all you do is go "well it sucks gxmod/osp/battle is better".I'd like to add that, it may be possible that the things that are "terrible" about OpenTDM right now, may actually be relatively easy to fix... So please do take the time to articulate HOW you would like it to work. The closed source nature of OSP has been a thorn in the side of admins for too long. An open source TDM mod would benefit the Q2 community. We may not be far away from having something that people like--if they would just be specific about what should be changed. Thanks!quadz
Right, but it's a thorn that MUST remain.

Here we actually have the opportunity to, for example, take the BEST of gxmod and OSP. And wind up with an open source mod that's got the best of both, and the actual ability to fix bugs in the goddamn thing (I'm sick of the map crashing bugs in OSP.)There's no reason to be stuck with the "worst parts of OSP" when right here we have the opportunity to talk about how to make it better.Regards,
You're missing the point entirely, cease work on the travesty that is OpenTDM, remove it from all servers, and come back to reality while you still can .
Tourney OSP is the best. I have used it for a long time in my servers and I'll continue using it. The score board is better, the vote options are better, the voting menu is very well made, easier to use than that in OpenTDM, the menu layout is better...In fact the main thing that has to be fixed is the menus. What's that, to type 'commands' in console? I could just press Help in the menu of OSP Tourney or Battle Mod, and vote easier in a menu. It's more convenient! When OpenTDM is fully completed and better than OSP, I guess then it'll be smarter to switch it.
