is there any command to disable a pak?
so i dont have to close client, remove the pak and open the client again to go to a more restrict server like DF

Nope, once a file is loaded into the Q2 file system it can't be removed except by restart.

well this is a config.cfg problem i'm having. i recently installed the game again. (i thought i had it installed for a while) apparently windows 8 and higher decides to delete your files and uninstall your applications when you don't use them enough. i had a everything backedup , however i didn't backup my cfg file! now i know the game is downloading mod files to another directory.

it's interfering on saving the config file to the correct place.  i can't find it in the search bar. i had this problem before , i usually fixed it myself searching for the duplicate folder in the temp or something. i can't find where it;s downloading. is there a command to find this>? thanks.

I dunno that Win8 would do that. An anti-virus program running some extra "clean up" module might do that, going through, looking for files that have not been accessed for a long time, marking them for removal. Usually those programs will give you a long checklist of all the files it's gonna shitcan for you to look through before you give it your blessing to remove it, unless you have it selected to do it automatically WITHOUT needing to okay it.

I don't worship the devil. Jesus is Lord, friend. He died for your sins. He will forgive you if you just ask.
