REAL condump of admin abuse, check logs to be sure

rl and lohmatiy will eventually lose their admin due to blatant abuse and it will be me saying 'I told ya so' as usual. 

I have my doubts that it's a bug.

I think he might be implying that although the "missing times" problem may be caused by a bug, the motive behind these times being deleted, through the use of this bug, may not be quite so "accidental" or "innocent" as we've been led to believe..

this is entirely my opinion though, and I may have misunderstood what Haunted was trying to say..

Oh I know him. I am the one who gave neur0 his admin on azboks, and I know him well from when jolt and azboks were big. I am quite aware of the irc log, and do not disagree with it. However, I don't think it was the bug that was removing the times. We will see though.

Just kind of funny that they went through this effort if they're innocent. If I didn't delete any times and people accused me of doing so I would say kiss my ass and not worry about it. (rl and lohmatiy's usual unprovoked attitude towards 'typical americans') If I had to guess I'd say that maps are being altered w/ sc's and then the times are being reset. Jumpmod has always had drama, way before tastyspleen. I admit that I could be wrong, but I have seen this shit happen MANY TIMES.

It just occurred to me I could hack q2admin to work-around the totally useless jumpmod admin logging.

By hacking q2admin, I should be able to log every command a player sends to the mod (along with their IP.)

If I have time (yeah right) that would probably be worthwhile.  It wouldn't reveal anything from past logs, but it would prevent these mysteries going forward.

Anyway: With my approval, Lohmatiy has recently been cleaning up the maplist, and deleting numerous bogus maps.  Given how the bug works, it makes perfect sense that times on completely unrelated maps are missing.

Again, since I became an admin, I'm trying to behave myself as correct as my English allows. Except A2G tho, it's extremely hard to be calm when he whines. And you have seen it when i wasn't an admin yet.

That is the stupidest thing I have ever heard.

Your "kiss my ass and not worry about it" approach just means the mystery of deleted times would continue to be a mystery, whenever someone tries to remove a bad map.

Someone taking the time to investigate, reproduce, and confirm the existence of a bug like this is 1000 times more useful to me than saying kiss my ass and letting the bug continue to cause damage.

Stupid if you took it in the context that you did. The 'approach' I just mentioned was obviously concerning _ACCUSATIONS_, and not the actual problem itself. Hence the pm that I sent you before your post saying that I would investigate it.

Ah, well.  I just came back to delete that first line ("stupidest thing") because it was needlessly confrontational.

But anyway, I've been talking with Lohmatiy on IRC repeatedly over the last several days, when he went from suspecting some kind of bug, to actually tracking it down.  I have no reason to suspect that he knew about it all along and was merely staging all these conversations with me as he tried to figure out what was going on.

I realize that some of you folks don't like each other and disagree with their actions but still if you would just try to calm yourselves and be civil I really do believe things would go 100x smoother on the jump server

The way things are going at the moment I'm willing to bet the jump server wont last a few months before everyone gets fed up and it gets taken down.

If you cant seem to talk nicely while in-game just ignore it then. Really, its not that difficult

Notice how RL explains that I came in and called him an asshole when I was talking to Kingsize but never mentioned anyone else by name in the actual dump (I actually remember it).  This is because I didn't know who did it, since there were about twenty admins to the server at the time (most of whom did nothing).  I may have suspected RL, who I'm aware is no longer an admin (wonder why), but it was more than deserved since I was on the server (before or after this, too long ago to remember) when he came in and deleted other times right in front of me, only to leave the map ultimately unchanged.  He had to think I was referring to him because he was doing exactly what I accused 'some asshole' of, something that made many on the server angry, yet only I complained about.  Only someone falsely using his name/password could explain that, but then the IPA would tell the truth.

Those, however, are topics for another thread.  Now, to go through those tasty (pun) search results.  Oh, this is going to be fun... and yes, I'm very, very bored.
