I just don't see how is all, lets say someone comes upon you with a gun drawn....you have a gun in your pocket...chances are, if the guy pulled the gun, he has the balls to use it...you go to pull gun...you end up dead
Yes, but 90% of the people who own guns for "protection" own them illegally--thus making a market for them to be sold illegally, thus making it easier for criminals like these fuckin punks to get their hands on them, who is to say who is really using them for protection? Are we just supposed to take peoples words on it?
Law enforcement officials told ABCNews.com that Cho bought his first gun, a Glock 9mm handgun, on March 13; they say he bought his second weapon, a 22-caliber handgun, within the last week.
I may not trust the cook making my food, or the bus driver driving my kids, what makes you think I want the average Joe carrying a gun.
Is it because you might be killed in a school shooting?
I agree with Armor in that you can never prevent these things from happening. There will always be psychos and the day to day world is an open place. What's to prevent me from going to the Mall/Food market/Walmart/Bar/Library or any public place and having a shoot- fish-in-a-barrel day? Nothing but my own decency and respect for human life. These type of mass incidents are relatively recent phenomenas because of the technology of guns these days. You can get semi-automatics and fire power to go through 2 people at the same time if you want. It used to be the single fire 22 pistol was all you got. Also TV/movies feeds ideas into their seething little brains. Now they can be much more effective. I read this morning he fired 3 shots into every victim to make sure.Nice world we live in....

That's like saying "John hit Marcy with a stick, so lets give everyone sticks"--"Billy up the street has a panzerfaust, so lets just give everyone a panzerfaust" That mentality will lead to nothing but destruction.
