I've heard a couple times that when you have dreams that your teeth are falling out, it means you are concerned about a lie that you've told recently to someone you know. It seems a bit coincidental though, and everybody worries and everybody lies, so it could just be BS..

I have dreams about losing teeth about once every month or two, and they're way too realistic for my tastes!

I hear ya. I don't ever really lie though, unless it is an obvious lie like I told Donna yesterday. I told her I found this awesome site where you can type in someones cell phone number and the gps tracker will use google earth to show an image of their exact location. It is a joke site but seems legit. After you type in a number, it shows maps zooming in, and then that famous meat spin clip!ROFL I will not post the link here as it is too adult in nature.

I've experienced / found the best way to not have dreams about losing teeth is to not have any :D. I don't have any real one's left due to circumstances beyond my control :D - and the one's I have I takes out at night and puts'em back in the morning. Sometimes, I actually run around all day without teeth at all. My youngest grandkids are always wanting to play with my "rubber" teeth - they don't know the diff between those halloween teeth and mine and the older ones think it's cool I don't have to go to the dentist (me too!) which they all hate with a passion.

rofl. you lucky dog.

I still have all mine, and I'd like to die with 'em in my head, so I freak out when I dream of losing them...

Usually I'll be dreaming away, not expecting a thing and I'll go to talk to someone and feel one of my front teeth wiggling like it's loose. then within a minute of dream time, they all start to get loose, and they start getting knocked out by my tongue everytime I feel around with it to see which ones are loose.

Suddenly I realize that these are my permanent teeth that are loose and I freak out.

The dream usually ends up with me spitting out tooth after bloody tooth until I wake up sweatin..

ugh..

On an un-related topic, I've recently started playing Counterstrike again and I'm starting to get FPS dreams a lot more than usual. (complete with people on vent yelling "agh I'm blind!" and "afk's at CT spawn!")

There's not much weirder than having dreams with a crosshair in the middle of your vision.

What really sucks is when your having a really good dream (you know, winning the lottery, being rich, or having sex with 3 bi lesbian super models) and then the dog barking wakes you up and your just super pissed off for like an hour.

I often wake up right before I'm about to eat something really good in my dream (like at a carnival) or like I'm at a candy store and I gather up everything I want, then I wake up...

I've had sexual dreams as well, like making out with someone I would never make out with in real life or doing something sexual with someone I wouldn't want to do it with... like I'm doing something sexual but then I see the face and it's like ughh, gross. (once it was an old man.. ;-;) Those are definitely my worst nightmares.

Usually I dream about my mom, dad, cousins, aunts, uncles, friends, other aquaintances, teachers and classmates. But occasionally, it's about online people (or how I picture them to look like) or just random strangers I have never met before.

Sometimes, I dream about violence, like knocking out a policeman while I rob a store or being in a RL quake 2 game where I rail someone. (but the reason behind me doing this might be that this person happened to annoy me a lot in real life at the time) Thing is, I'd never do this type of thing in real life (well, duh.), so why do I dream about doing it?

And sometimes, I dream about something but then it's totally hard to explain it when you wake up. In your dream, it totally makes sense, but then you forget why it made sense to you after you wake up. Like one time I dreamed about kicking a ball a long distance... I just don't know why I was doing it when I woke up.

Also, after I wake up, I remember parts of the dream, but then I forget it throughout the day... sometimes something that happens throughout the day makes me remember it - like an event or person. And then, at night I lay down  to sleep and I remember what I dreamed about the night before... then fall asleep. So are dreams connected somehow? It's just that we don't remember the ones earlier in the night (because of the sleep cycles)?

Everyone dreams (whether they remember it or not is another story) because it's needed in order to function. If someone doesn't get enough sleep, they have a longer period of REM sleep the following night. It's necessary for survival because it's been passed down for generations.

Also, I dream in color.

I get bad dreams, good dreams, adventure-like dreams, and just plain random ones.

The dreams I always remember are the ones that get to me the most.

I always dream my teeth are falling out like crazy.

I get this dream too. Probably once a month.
I get 'lock jaw' and keep crushing my own teeth and they crumble and I spit them out in chunks.
My friend also has told me he gets this dream. So about a year or 2 ago we researched about this dream, and I guess that lock jaw dreams and crumbling teeth dreams are associated with stress.
That you are really worried about something IRL and it triggers it.

I also have a fear of the dentist so I'm sure that plays a big part in it.

Only certain games have ever done that to me. I remember back in the '80s ( [ms] pac-man, galga competitions, etc) going to bed at night and running patterns in my sleep all night long. I'd actually wake up with my wrist hurting like crazy like I'd been playing all night. Quake (I-II), and a game called Lemmings did the same. Never had any do that since though. Oh well :)

once it was an old man.. ;-;)

Also, I dream in color.

:bigcry: Us old men have feelings too. :bigcry: However, on behalf of old men everywhere I accept your insult.

Seriously though - it's interesting to me when people talk to me about their dreams (during counseling sessions) how many people tell me they dream in vivid color and how many are black and white. One thing I have noticed is most of the time (not always) the dreams in vivid color seem to stay with a person longer than the "noir" type dreams.

Interesting thread.

That is really interesting!
I have never heard of dreaming in black and white.
That would be really cool, like being in an old black and white movie.
