From a coding standpoint - do you realize how easy it is to hack an open source game regardless of the anticheat? Anything can be emulated and faked. This is a few hour project for an experienced hacker.

We're talking about a jesture, no footstep sounds, no showing yourself, just moving a slight bit as if you might start to go, but you don't and they shoot. Do please explain the simplicity of that.
Just a quick note to those calling for enforcing anticheat:You do realize this:1) Locks you into running Windows if, for nothing else, just to play Quake2.2) Dismisses the hard work of many engine developers who target other platforms.I know Quadz understands the potential impact of forcing any client, and would probably never do so.
