Wow - so explain how exactly someone is able to predict, (over and over) when you make a jesture from at Bottom RL to Ele and they're by mega ledge with rail. We're talking about a jesture, no footstep sounds, no showing yourself, just moving a slight bit as if you might start to go, but you don't and they shoot. Do please explain the simplicity of that.

You actually contradict yourself by saying "if it's a hack, they will get busted" since you already stated that it's "sKILL and experience", leading us to believe you're actually confused and have no real opinion.

Then again, my wager says you didn't even watch the demo's and you're padding your post count with useless drivel that does not contribute to the topic in any real way.

That said, anyone who understands how microprocessors, networks, and operating systems work at a basic level, will understand intuitively that it's simply theoretically impossible to devise an unhackable client-side anticheat system.  I'll admit, I'm never sure what to tell people who don't understand the fundamentally unsolvable nature of the problem.  (For example, I've always known how to write an aimbot that simply cannot be detected client-side.)

authenticating a hacked client to the anticheat server would be pretty hard, but you can still do it.  people hack IPSEC vpn's, but i don't think people grasp how much more difficult shit like that is, than hacking nocheat type things
that and maybe you don't even have to authenticate to the server to have it work, just seemed like a hard thing to hack, but i think it's possible. because VPN is extremley secure, and it can be hacked

Well if this guy Tyr = d1tzu = known for cheating, then it's not so strange he would use an alias and deny it to prevent being accused before a match has even started. I watched those demos and although I think that prediction rails at bottom RL entrance are not really uncommon, there are some questionable moments for sure. You'd think that a prediction shot also reveals your own position but he's constantly firing them and nine out of ten times you were there, which still is not impossible but does look fishy. He seems very focussed on respawn sounds so that could explain that he's right on top of you most of the times. I don't know really, some always say that there must have been some sound but last time I checked, knowing someone's location due to his sounds didn't automatically give me a perfect timing for corner shots. Next time you play him try to delay your respawns by not clicking right after you get fragged. Or try doing as Dahang once did in a match against Granny and just hang near upper RL and Hyper ledge just to give him less options for so called prediction shots and to see what he's going to do.

I'd like to think so too but most coders (who lend their skills to write smarter cheats) see it as their game/challenge to get around any form of protection. Old game or not, I believe that once a certain anticheat becomes popular and well know for its safety, it won't go unnoticed in the "underworld" and will draw attention. I mean for every R1CH there probably are two anti-anticheat dudes with similar or even more coding knowledge. They just have to become interested in messing with r1q2 or be contacted by a bunch of cheaters. Also there are countries where online Q2 took off quite late and is still becoming more popular. The game also runs on every POS and doesn't use a registration Key or other forms of copy protection so it's a good place to start for most people. 
I think once R1CH feels his program has matured enough and there's not much to improve or update for the moment, (or he's just sick of it) it will be a matter of time before we will see the first signs of obvious hacked versions. It has always been like that with other anticheats (for any game) so I don't see why it would be different with r1q2's anticheat. Hopefully I'm wrong. But at this point it does seem to be the best choice and having this anticheat will certainly discourage most cheaters and wannabes.  \o/

Quaziemomo posted demos and asked for opinions. As you can see half of this thread is just about Anticheat so don't flatter yourself.
And of course it's not about who you are  or claim not to be, but about suspicious looking shots.

Yea I just started playing q2, just a few weeks ago and I kinda got the hang of it really fast, I'm not a genious, but my IQ is about 150 so yea I'm not the Average Joe. And I'm getting addicted to it!!!
