I'd ask Santa Claus to bring me this one, but I have my eye on something a little fancier.
ATTENTION S-MART SHOPPERS!
this is a brand new 4x12 cab loaded with not one, not two, not three, but FOUR 60watt 16ohm Celestion Vintage 30 speakers, and they're asking $200 for it.
Dunno if that would be wise. Seventy80s are rated at 80 watts, and Vintage30's are 60 watts (not 30). If the amp is a 60 watt amp, that might be fine. But you might wanna get some expert advice from an amp tech familiar with Blackstar amps before trying that. I think as loose single speakers, those Vintage30's usually sell for $150 each. Would suck to flatten a pair of 300 dollar speakers.
I ended up doing it. The V30's are wired in parallel, so I presume each is handling half the 60 watt amp's power.I'm liking the sound. (Smoother / less harsh than the Seventy80's I replaced.)
However, I'm still seeing this OTHER cab posted up on their site, although the price is a little higher at $249.99, which is 50 more than the other listing. It still claims to have four 60watt Celestion Vintage30's. The description says "16ohms, 8ohms per side", so I assume that means it's switchable for mono/stereo... I don't think I've ever seen a 4x12 V30 loaded cab that wasn't stereo capable.http://www.guitarcenter.com/Schecter-Guitar-Research/Synyster-Gates-Signature-Hellwin-Stage-240W-4x12-Slant-Guitar-Speaker-Cabinet.gc
