well art i have less of an objection to you killing your animals for meat than i do for these animals being skinned alive anyway, maybe we should leave it at that, besides if you dont kill the deer, someone else will kill a chicken that youd eat instead, so i guess im ok with that, as long as youre doing it for the food rather than for the fun

Ok...I was going to let this thread drop....but, I was surfing the tv channels in the WinAmp Media Libarary(sp?) and found an interesting program called...."Meet Your Meat" and it is basically that same exact video, insted of it being badgers or what ever....its with pigs, then chickens, then cows....and they all seem very outdated. Peta is all about shock value, and I bet that same fur video was used to try to get people to bocoytt a different company selling fur a year or two ago. It's basically all a bunch of propaganda to attempt to gain voices for their cause.

it still happened, ya it is shock value, im not telling anyone to stop eating meat tho, go ahead eat it, most animals arent tortured to death in order to be prcessed into fast food anymore, it doesnt really matter what fur company they are trying to boycott with the video, that wasnt the point of posting the video, as ive said before, i dont associate myself with petas beliefs, it is merely incidental that it is on their website, i just thought people should be informed, people still wonder why we have videos and study the holocaust considering its in the past, its just something you should know about, not just to prevent it, but to be more aware of the world you live in, and if someone choosing to buy fur in the future, the video will add another criteria with which to base their decision on

DISCLAIMER: No offense to anyone intended by this post.

It kind of pisses me off that vegans/vegetarians go around touting the benefits of a meat free life style, and pushing their own philosophy on people like me who enjoy a good steak. The fact that they are unable to compromise and accept the fact that there are people who enjoy eating meat, just as there are people who find it unpleasant. That type of self righteous attitude does nothing but compromise their message, which is what really pisses me off about PETA, they just go around burning down labs and things, instead of considering the fact that they are doing nothing but make people hate them. What we should really be doing is pushing for more humane treatment of the animals destined to be dinner,  that way everyone gets what they want. Plus, (don't hold me to this) i remember reading somewhere that stress hormones that the animals body manufactures while being scared shitless, clubbed 20 times, or skinned makes the meat less healthy and less flavorful. A calm cow is a tasty cow.

i completely agree, as ive said before i do not agree with peta or their methods, it just so happens this video was on their site

personally i dont see why we should stop eating meat, honestly if it werent for the protein that comes from the meat we eat, we would never have developed the brains, and therefore consciousness to even fathom vegetarianism, however just because we have reached this state of mind doesnt mean we should throw it all away and give up on meat, we are meat eaters, lets not deny ourselves this basic neccessity, lets just do it in much more humane ways
